If you will recall from the last thrilling episode, I was reporting the news from classmates whom I contacted on the telephone during the April Alumni Fund Telethon. Let us continue with the adventures of our classmates, starting with Mike Woodbury. Mike sold his business three years ago and is now building a golf course in Glens Falls, N.Y. He and Ann recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Daughter Jennifer recently completed her junior year at Flartwick College, and Meg is continuing at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He mentioned that Ted Boyle has opened a medical practice in Glens Falls.

Rex Roberts heard his phone ring, and we chatted long enough for him to brag about his 25 years of happy marriage to Karen. One of their two sons is a senior at Union University, and the other is a high school senior. Rex is busy with his work as senior vice president of American General Life Insurance in Nashville. In his spare time he swats golf balls. When asked about classmates, Rex wonders what has happened to John Purves. John has a family photo and a biography on page 63 of the reunion yearbook, but an update would be good for next month's column.

The next phone call went to PeterMorrissette up in Lyndonville, Vt., his hometown as I recall. Peter raves about his 25 years of marriage to Sherlyn and his son who is in the class of '93 at Dartmouth. They also have a daughter who is at Washington University Law School. Peter attacks tennis balls and wonders, as do many others, what ever happened to Brad Hills. Brad, where are you?

Rick Mahoney is director of financial aid at Phillips Exeter Academy, so he understood the importance of my phone call for the Alumni Fund. However, we quickly switched to more interesting matters. Rick and Linda have been blissfully married for 24 years, and their children Mike, Kim, and Kevin are all worthy of parental pride. Mike is now a grand old senior at Dartmouth, where he is the associate sports editor of The D. Rick is still busy with basketball, not as a player, but as a coach. His Exeter girls team, defending New England champions, were 12-5 last year, but lost by one point in the finals this year. Congratulations to the team and their mentor. The pooch, "Doggie" Julien, would have been proud of Coach Mahoney. Rick also reported that Larry Duffy is now associated with the Alumni Affairs office at Belmont Hill School here in Massachusetts. Rick saw MikeBuckley and Mary, Buck's bride of 25 years, in Syracuse a few weeks ago, and they seemed to be as well as ever.

Word comes through the electronic mail that Frank Hermes has been named senior vice president, marketing and product development of Standard and Poor's Compustat Services Inc. It appears that Frank will be busier than ever as McGraw-Hill's S & P Information Group gets more involved with the growing international market. Frank was with Citibank until 1984. If you have a few million extra dollars looking for a place to grow, perhaps Frank can provide you with the financial and investment information for global trading. If you want to see how Frank and his family look these days, and if you want more information about his personal life, check out his spread in the 25th Reunion yearbook.

To all members of the class, it is not too late to make plans for the mini-reunion in Hanover, and it's not too late to enjoy the special moments and blessings life has to offer. Take care of yourselves.
