Thanks to Sid Fish for a copy of the New York Times Book Review section which had a first-page feature and highly laudatory review of Norman Maclean's book entitled Young Men and Fire. The book was published posthumously from a manuscript left by Norm. It includes a section from a story in the first person which was found among Norm's effects. It is nice to have

Incidentally, Sid tells a rather blood-curdling story of being brought back to life after a complete heart stoppage. A successful effort resulted in a few cracked ribs, but this is now all behind him, and he says he is gradually getting his strength back.
