Following the great burst of activity at the 65th Reunion, the classmates seem to have returned to a state of suspended animation. How can I report classmates' activities in the absence thereof? Please do something, and then let me know about it. One shining exception was our eminent biologist, Bill Ballard. He was torn between attending the reunion or going as a lecturer on an alumni tour of Alaska. Alaska won because he had never been there and was, as usual, curious. The group explored every- thing from the ecology and natural resources to the weather and the landscape. He was particularly impressed by the spectacular scenery and the large number of glaciers.

After returning from New Hampshire, Paula and I escaped the torrid 100° heat in Washington by going to our Gulf Coast place in Florida, where it rarely gets above 95. The daily swim in the Gulf and occasional game of what I still like to call golf made the month of July pass pleasantly enough.

It is reported that joe Tidd has joined his classmates Curly Prosser and Lane Dwinell at the Kendal at Hanover retirement home, where the food and amenities are reported as excellent. This is not a paid advertisement.

President Ed Flanders is presenting a plaque to Jerry Sass, with the aid of Lane Dwinell in its preparation, in appreciation of his efforts in making our 65th such a great success.
