Our mini-reunion in Hanover May 7-8 was blessed with delightful spring weather. While class officers were kept busy with meetings and seminars, other reuners had ample time for shopping or sightseeing. The Friday dinner at the Sheraton received good reviews, and on Saturday some 34 of us gathered at the Norwich Inn for an enjoyable dinner and evening of camaraderie. There was one outsider in our midst a Harvard man, no less. He was Bill Cushwa, Peggy Lancaster's fiance, and a welcome addition to the group. As usual, the weekend's activities closed Sunday morning with a delicious brunch, courtesy of Bob and Tanna Fernald.

InMay 1992 BabcockLumber Cos. was given the Company of the Century Award by the North American Wholesale Lumber Association for Outstanding Loyal Support and Invaluable Contributions. Accepting the award was CEO Fred Babcock. Later in the year Fred was recipient of the National Cattlemen's Association 1992 Environmental Stewardship Award for the eight-state Southeast region. He is chairman of the family-held Babcock Florida Co., which owns and operates the 90,000-acre Crescent B Ranch, familiar to many '36ers. The Stewardship Award is given to recognize environmentally sound management practices by cattle producers and to promote better communications with the public and with environmental, governmental, and academic organizations. Well done, Fred!

Boyce and Betty Price gave up on their proposed move to Vermont and are now settled in at Kendal at Hanover #216, 80 Lyme Road, Hanover, NH 03755. Another Kendal resident, Madine Morton, unfortunately suffered a stroke shordy after she moved in last spring. However, as of mid-June she was being well taken care of in the infirmary and was making very good progress with her therapy. Frank Kappler, who at this writing is recovering well from an early-May back operation, has experienced some problems with his left knee. We hope this was transitory, and that he is back in shape as you read this.

Our apologies to tie family of Mitchell C. Boyd for an oversight in his obituary in the May issue. The last sentence should have read: Mike is survived by his wife, Dora Lee, and two children, Mitchell Jr. and Deborah.

Picnickers Bob Stix '38 and Gil Tanis '38, with Stix's assistant Francis Altarejos, found Bartlett Tower an idyllic spot for lunch and conversation.
