On the weekend of the Penn game (September 24) a group of classmates met. Present were the Art Aliens, Mike Cardozo, Evelyn Maxwell (Chuck's widow), the GreyFreemans, the Don Marcuses, Terry Nitschelm, the Dick Olmsteds, the Howdy Pierponts, Harry Rowe, Brynne Warsaw, the Stoibers, John Weissenfluh, the Wentworths, and John Zimmerman. On learning of Whip Walser's death the group expressed deep sadness and agreed that he was one of our very best.

The International Executive Service Corps annually gives to a select few of its members the Spirit of Service Award for superior performance, dedication, and commitment to improve the lives of others in developing countries. Jay Whitehair has been a member of IESC for 18 years, and we are proud to learn that he recently received this award. But Jay, why was the lESC so interested in your attempts to tackle Albie Booth?

The TV Times of July 31, 1994, reminds us that in addition to the legendary names of Hollywood such as Bardot, Gable, Bogart, etc., there were others who were very talented but never developed a cult following. Our RobertRyan was one of five such stars picked by the Times. Today, with home video and cable, his pictures can be appreciated again. Recommended are: Crossfire (1947) a best supporting Oscar nomination in this; Act of Violence (1949); The Setup (1949); On DangerousGround (1951); and The Wild Bunch (1969).

We sadly report the recent deaths of RichardD. Cleaves and Kenneth I. Todd. Their obituaries will be in this issue of a later one.
