As I write I'm in Lyme at Dowd's Inn waiting to attend our daughter Christine's graduation. I will report on all other grads in my next column. Got a newsy letter from Judy and Russ Hjerpe in Texas. They report, "We're both terrific. We just married off our lovely daughter Kimberly to David Lynn Straiton a native Texan." Judy continues as a travel agent (corporate only, please), her grown-up career. She and Russ travel around the world three or four times a year—having a terrific time.

Russ made a career change in 1993 to the N.S.K. Corporation. He loves it, but retirement is not too far off—yeay! They have four Grandkids and are enjoying the heck out of them.

Einar Kloster has decided to give up the life of a globetrotter. He and Betty will head back to Oslo, Norway. He believes it will be fun to explore other interests and be close to the grandchildren. He has resigned from Phillips and will be working with different companies in board positions. How our lives are changing as we move into the next decade!

Kurt Wehbring is a planning and management consultant and an adjunct faculty member in the graduate program in business and management at Mayhurst College. He hopes to join other Dartmouth Club of Oregon members in a climb of Mt. St. Helens this summer.

Tom Taggart is a partner of Vorys Sater, Seymour, and Pease in Columbus and has been a litigation attorney for 28 years, focusing on malpractice, worker's compensation, product liability, and contract disputes (just minor importance to all of us business types!). He is a Fellow of the Columbus Bar and the Ohio State Bar Foundations.

Dom Chickering claims that after many years of trying to coerce his military friends to take him for a ride in a jet fighter, the opportunity presented itself (don't ask how!). He had an hour and 20 minutes of acrobatic flight in an F-15. He emerged in a somewhat queasy state but did not—repeat—did not get sick. It was the fulfillment of a dream.

Dom writes, "My coal-mining operations have expanded to four states: Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, and Utah. In the past year I have taken five trips around the world resulting in mining operations begun in Siberia (copper, silver, gold), Kazakhstan (chromite), Venezuela (coal), and the Philippines (gold). At this time in my life when I should be slowing down, I find myself doing quite the opposite. Can't seem to quit. It must have something to do with that infamous New Hampshire granite leaching into the water. Maybe the EPA should look into it."

Since June 13 Phoebe and I have been happily ensconced in our new home in Marblehead. New address: 3 Mooring Road, Marblehead, MA 01945. See you on the water!
