Not that Peter Williamson isn't busy enough with his work at the Dartmouth/Hitchcock Medical Center and keeping an eye on his lovely collection of Italian cars, now it seems that he is the American secretary of the International League Against Epilepsy and president of the Northern New England Neurological Society. While some of us come to the North Country to relax, Peter would appear to be busier than ever since coming north from New Haven, Conn., several years ago. I can see Susan leaving the light on in their lovely house situated in the hills above the Lyme Church. Hope it is one of those long-lasting bulbs.

If you need legal counsel in the city of Miami, Fla., look up Stanley Beiley. He has just joined the law firm which is now called, Hornsby, Sacher, Zelman, Stanton, Paul & Beiley. As I write this column on a bitterly cold day in March, must say that Stanley knows a good and warm place to practice law.

Was interested to learn that the kazoo section of the Dartmouth College Marching Band has gained a new player. Seems John Whitelely underwent a third radical surgery to remove a recurrent salivary gland cancer. Keep John in your thoughts and prayers, that he might have a speedy and complete recovery. Look forward to cheering him on come Dartmouth Night this fall.

A recent reading of The Sound and Fury revealed that another classmate has been found to be a part of our 40th Reunion panel on retirement. Indeed, Nick Stevens may hold the record for the class, having retired at the tender age of 43. As one who has been gainfully unemployed for the past 17 years, I would suspect he would have a wealth of insights into this chapter in life.

Add to those same ranks of the retired the name of Doug Wilder. Following a long stint with IBM in Hartford, Armonk and Washington, D.C., Doug is now refining his golf game in Flat Rock, N.C. When not working on his iron shots, he does keep his hand in the business world as an independent design rep for two designers and manufacturers of custom homes.

My fingers are freezing to the keyboard, time to sign off.
