Ruthe and Chet Berry played golf on December 9,1996, while a snow storm knocked out power in Connecticut. You guessed it—Bertie and Joe Bird are no longer homeless. Bob Graham gave up on New England winters and is now spending them in Holmes Beach, Fla. Jack Fitzgerald found the listing of 1940 WWII casualties brought back many memories. Also, heard from a 1941 fraternity brother about his memories of fraternity brothers. Pattie and BillSquires are now living at 621 Laurel Lake Drive, 8216, Columbus, NC 28722. TomGeorge had a very successful exhibit in New York City last fall. Jack and Marjorie Powell were honored by Hebron Academy for their help in completing Hebron's enclosed hockey rink. It was a wonderful surprise to get a note from Frank Wright. He is one of four living 1940 KKK brothers. Chuck Haskell continues to play golf (nine holes at a time) in the high thirties. Received a note from Charlie Pinderhughes telling how he and his wife, Elaine, keep busy with five children and eight grandchildren at Martha's Vineyard, and in Boston, Nashville, Minneapolis, and Berkeley. John and Molly Burnap joined us at last year's mini-reunion, but were a bit surprised at the early hour of bedtime—he guessed he was always a night owl. Bill Wortherspoon sent word that he would love to do some rowing again—"could we get up at 8?"
