Some 26 years ago we were seated in front of Baker Library waiting to receive our diploma and most likely ignoring whatever wisdom might have been delivered by --I wonder whether the class of 2004 paid more attention to Jeff Immelt, who delivered the main address at this year's graduation. While I wasn't there, I did read Jeff's humorous yet insightful comments in our class newsletter (thanks to Brooks Clark). If you no longer have the hard copy, you can access it on our class Web site (thanks to Owen Astrachan).

Meanwhile, Bob Corrente sent what he called his once-every-20-years update (I hope he wasn't serious). After two decades as a litigator in Providence, he has "swerved into public service...nominated in May to become the U.S. attorney for Rhode Island. I am now awaiting confirmation by the Senate. Its an exciting challenge, to say the least, in a complicated environment. The timing couldn't be better, since I will have two kids in college come September; Matthew is at Middlebury and Michaela is starting at George Washington. Celia is in seventh grade, so there's still hope for the class of 2014." Finally, "You will be happy to know that my fellow non-reporters Tim Harrison and Rocky Beek are alive and well. Tim is in Staten Island, and is still playing guitar. Rocky is somewhere on the Left Coast, and is still Rocky." Perhaps Tim and Rocky would like to join the ranks of the reporters?

Chris Hughes wrote: "I've recently become general counsel to Emerson College, a small college in downtown Boston that specializes in communications and the arts. Think tattooed, pierced, dyed (the students, not me) with a camera in one hand and a microphone in the other—alumni include Spaulding Gray and Jay Leno. WERS, the college radio station, is (with all due respect to WDCR) generally considered the best in the country, and the mix of legal issues is great fun."

Finally for this month, Tommy Randolph and Athena Robinson Randolph: "Athena and I have three children and have lived in Lake City, Florida, for the past 19 years and share a busy medical practice."
