This may be the season for it, but we hope none of you is tempted to overlook any miscellaneous sources of income or to claim any deductions which may later be difficult to substantiate. Before such omissions or commissions, consider the case of the sports- minded lawyer who owes the T men a mere 15 months over and above a few corrected long forms.

All of the above has nothing to do with a very capable counselor, Robert T. Keeler, who sent us formal advice of his January 1 appointment as member of the firm of Taft, Stettinius and Hollister of Cincinnati; to the best of our recollection, Bob has carried the TS and H label since '39. Proof again that a little patience and perseverance in due time will get a good man the combination to the safe and a chance to cut the melon.

Now that we've started down the legal trail we're tempted to devote a few more agates to the profession... . Possibly the barrister with the most printing on his door is Joe Bishop; after Joe's name you find Deputy Department,Counselor of the Army, Department of theArmy... hardly necessary to mention, said office is in Washington, D. C.... just a couple of crumpled bumpers and a side-swiped fender from Alexandria, Va., where Joe and his bride make their residence.

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours with Jack Kenney just recently. Jack has his own thriving law firm in Hartford, Conn. Among other things, Jack has become a very sought- after man in the real estate end of his profession. While on the subject of the Kenney family we learned that young Mr. K, now 10, can manipulate the pigskin in acceptable fashion and with a little cheering from his 7-year-old sister, should follow in Pop's foot- steps in a few short years... . Jack gave us a fresh line on Dick O'Hare who oversees the Springfield, Mass., headquarters of the North- eastern Gas Transmission Company. Dick's legal talent has been invaluable to his outfit in getting natural gas pipes laid in thousands of individual New England properties and bringing about the availability of natural gas facilities in the area. It's evident that Dick can count on some help from Jack at hearings in Connecticut involving Transmission Company cases... . Better think twice, you claimants, there's a pair you don't want to mess with on or off the docket!

If all went as scheduled, Joe Davis left Tokyo on 19 February, preparatory to shedding his Captaincy 3rd Hq, FEC, UNCIG, APO 500. Joe's address should now be 70 Manchester Terrace, Mt. Kisco, N. Y.... Any of the brethren in Chicago who want a lead on a "sure bet" in a stock, bond or commodity, drop in at Smith Barneh and Cos., 39 S. La- Salle Street. Ask for Jim Dern and tell him yours truly sentcha.

The National Shawmut Bank of Boston lias named John Sullivan to the position of assistant vice president. Sully is well known in banking circles for his accounting and methods acumen. Ergo, the Shawmut should have no trouble with the mechanics of banking with Sully at the helm.

This is the busy season for Ernie Curtis who accounts publicly for Seidman and Seidman in Grand Rapids, Mich. ... Several harvests have gone by since we last heard directly from Jack Davis who still labors for Republic Steel in Indianapolis to the best of our knowledge. ... Ben Southwick is making good use of his chemical engineering talents with E. A. Squibb in New Brunswick, N. J., commuting daily from Plainfield . .. and Harry Horn is loading the Architectural Magazine with advertising for F. W. Dodge Corp. at 119 W 40th St. in New York.

Any '36ers, accompanied by wives or sweethearts, expecting to be in Boston on April 10 next, and providin' you figure you're good for one more schottische, be advised that a Dartmouth Dinner Dance is being held come 8 o'clock that night at the University Club. A ten spot will get you and the little lady thru the stiles. The band goes home at 1 A.M. sharp, so plan accordingly. Phyl (Mrs. Cliff) England, 91 Bacon Street, Winchester, Mass. is the gal to see for ducats.

We regretfully call your attention to the InMemoriam section of the MAGAZINE for the account of the passing of Bob Taylor last October. The Class extends its deepest sympathy to Bob's wife Ann and his family.

OUTDOOR MAN: Dan Holland '36, professional writer and photographer on outdoor subjects, went to Chile to get pictures to illustrate an article by Corey Ford on trout fishing. Dan is the author of a definitive book on that subject and is a regular contributor to "Sports Afield" and other magazines.
