Fortune magazine, September issue, has a picture of Thorndike Saville, New York University, who they announce has been appointed by the Engineers Joint Council to direct a task force studying the wider industrial use of nuclear energy. Last month we told of Doc Kingsford moving to Monson, Mass. It seems that the Monsanto Chemical Co. moved his textile research group to Springfield, Mass., which necessitated his finding a new location. He says Monson is fine and only fifteen miles from the plant and almost as good as New Hampshire.
Herb Schuchman bequeathed his entire library to the College and his gift will be the basis for the Cutter Hall library, to be set up in the new lounge of that dormitory, one of the buildings taken over when the Clark School was sold.
