The Boston Herald recently featured an interview with Stan Qua, former Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and Stan is quoted as saying that the reputation of this Court "rests largely on the fact that it can be depended upon to adhere to the principles it has once established." Charlie and Helen Chase have been living in Albany this winter, where Charlie could be near his work but now have returned to their old home in Rensselaerville, N. Y. ... Harland Cate writes that Ethel and he spent the winter at their home in West Dennis, well contented and could not seem to stir up enough interest to go to Florida. Doug Vander Hoof, although retired from active practice, still finds plenty to do. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors of one of the large banks in Richmond, is a director of the Museum of Fine Arts, and serves on other boards. Most of his time is spent, however, as an unofficial secretary of the Episcopal Church of 1600 members. He edits the parish paper, keeps the membership and addressograph rolls in order, and attends all vestry meetings as he was elected honorary senior warden for life. Just now the Church is building a new parish house to cost somewhat over $400,000.
Representing the class at Eddie Hunter's funeral were Tom and Inez Remsen, Ned and Gertrude Warren, and K and Florence Bryant. Everett Stevens served as one of the honorary bearers.
