The great days of reunion have come and gone, and there is certainly no doubt that the 51 'ers had the most fabulous time of any class ever to return to the glorious plain. This is routine, since this event has rekindled our belief in unwavering convictions that the great class of 1951 is doubtless the best ever to march out of Hanover. Before we get carried away too far into blissful memories, or dreams of the great beyond, we should give you a little of the news of the day.

Let's start off with some lucky visitors to Hanover. In March, Bill Babb was fortunate enough to have registered in at the old Inn, and then in April, we presume, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smallwood were there. Let's hope that there will be really a long list of us after our reunion in June. Incidentally, Bill gives Columbus, Ind., as his home address, and Frank, Alexandria, Va.

Here are a couple more engagements for you all to digest - first, the Leonard J. Paidars of Winnetka, Ill., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Shirley, to Peter Bogardus. Pete's fiancee is a graduate of the University of Colorado. That's all the info we have on that one, except Walt Bush tells us the wedding is to be fairly soon, and then old Pete will have finally fallen by the wayside. On May 25, we hear tell that Miss Jane Gray will be wed to John Higley. Jane is employed by the State Mutual Life Assurance Co., in Worcester, Mass., as is her intended. That's one way to keep it all in the family. Anyway, congratulations to the happy pair.

Peirce McKee has been named assistant manager of the Sears Roebuck store in Salem, Ohio. Peirce has been in training at the Steubenville Sears store since 1951. After graduation, Peirce served two years in the U. S. Army.

Under the list of new addresses for the class of '51, we find Charles Fitzsimmons Jr. as an industrial engineer in Bridgeport, Conn. He is with the Bridgeport Brass Company. Bob Matthews Jr. is listed as a district mgr. with the Chevrolet Motor Div. G. M. Corp. in Houlton, Me. Mason W. Huse Jr. calls himself an electronic engineer with the Raytheon Co. His home is Waltham, Mass. Dr. Percy Cornish must be doing something interesting with an address like he has - you can reach him at 1738 B. Quarters, Clovis A.F.B., N. Mex.

Bob Cohen, secretary-treasurer of Navajo Freight Lines, was elected president of the Colorado Motor Carriers Assn. at the annual convention. Apparently, at 28. Bob is the youngest president in the association's history. Quite an honor for Bob, who is situated happily in Denver's happy clime. Spent an extremely enjoyable evening with Bob Leavitt recently, and it certainly is inspiring to visit with an individual so interested in the activities of his wonderful company. Bob is with Riordan Sales Corp., a subsidiary of the International Paper. We even soaked up a couple of steins of suds at the GA, and I believe I saw Pete Bogardus's mug hanging from the ceiling in that fair establishment. Or on second thought, it might have belonged to Hunter White or Ted Laskin. Outside of his job, still single and Tudor-City resident, Bob finds time for a great array of Dartmouth activities. And what could be a more pleasing way to spend your spare time? Have you ever thought of activating yourself? Bob is enrollment chairman for a couple of the largest counties in the world in N.Y.C. He also writes a column for the Dartmouth Club of New York's paper.

A little pink and blue birth announcement from Joe and Rosalee Boissy tells us of the happy arrival of daughter, number two. Amy was born on April 3, 1957, and weighed in at an even seven pounds. Rosalee says that Joe is hoping to make it back to reunion. The family lives in Lowville, N. Y., where Joe is with the Payne-Jones Co. Since he travels periodically, all over the country, he has seen quite a few of his old Dartmouth cohorts.

Mark Cole is Methods Assistant (accounting) with the New York Tele. Co., and since his address is Fairfield, Conn., we presume he is one of those commuters. Lincoln Fenno is a store manager with the W. T. Grant Co. in Springfield, Mass., while John Ives is a hospital administrator at the Grace-New Haven Comm. Hospital in New Haven, Conn, ist Lt. Bob Kreidler, USMCR, is an aide-de-camp to the Commanding General with the 3rd Marine Division, with an address out of San Francisco, Calif. Ken Little is a civil engineer with the firm of Howard, Needles, Tammen & Bergendoff in N.Y.C. We understand that paul Meyer is fulfilling the old college creed as a lecturer in Mathematics at Columbia University, and Bob Williams is a graduate student in Chemistry at lowa State College in Ames. We are able to gather all the above quick information from the new address sheets the College sends us. It would be much better if some of you would take your pen in hand and let us hear from you in a more personal matter.

Outside of a brief run-down of the actual reunion activities which will appear in the July issue, this is the last column that will come from this quarter. It's been a great and inspiring six-year tenure for us, and we wish to thank all of you 51'ers for your continued and live support, not only to the Dartmouth cause, but also to our outstanding sub-division of it. Again many thanks for the opportunity of being with you each month over the past six years. .
