Reports on the November 13 reunion haven't begun to filter back yet but I'm sure those who attended were very satisfied with the arrangements, game, etc. Many letters and much information so I'll plunge right in this month. Stu Mahlin updated his last report from Shaker Heights (3522 Normandy Rd.) and tells me that Bruce Phillips is Warehouse Officer for the Port of Saigon responsible for routing the material coming through the port. In his spare time he is studying French with a girl who used to be Madame Nhu's private secretary. The girl studied in Paris for ten years and has a degree in comparative law from Michigan. Hard to believe. Stu and wife Julie have been working in Cleveland, both sound busy. Dave Pentico wrote to confirm his reported marriage (from the best possible source). Dave's still at Carnegie Tech working towards his Doctorate in Industrial Administration. Barbara and Dave spent the past summer in Pittsburgh, Dave with the Mellon Bank. Their address: 4100 Greenridge Rd., Apt. 5, Pittsburgh.

From Beirut, Lebanon and the American University there (Box 173) came a letter from Bob Phillips. The Arabic was undecipherable on the letterhead but the message got through. Bob reports that he spent 196364 at Stanford Law School where his great-est achievement was a) his marriage to Ann Heiberg, a Ph.D. candidate in English and Humanities in September, 1964, and b) his receipt of the Stanford Trustees Scholarship for overseas study - which explains the Beirut postmark. They spent last summer in Greece and Italy and now Anne is a professor at Beirut College for Women while Bob teaches at the American University. All this has changed Bob's mind about law (as it probably would anyone's) and when he and Anne come back to this country in the fall of 1966, he'll study for a Ph.D. in Political Science. Bill and Petie Subsn checked in with alternate letters. It seems that Columbia Law is too tame for the Subes so he's coaching the Columbia freshman lightweight crew. Petie's driving the launch (looks like Subes couldn't have made a more perfect choice of mate). Lou Gerstner stops in frequently at the Subins' and apparently enjoys his duties with a New York management consulting firm. Bill and Patty Russell are parents - William Douglas was born July 1. Bill is in charge of the leasing division of Mack Trucks for a part of Northern New Jersey. I asked where John Chamberlin was and is. Turns out that he finished his two years with the Peace Corps in Nigeria, as I suspected, and now is in New York at Columbia Teachers College (with a doctorate in sight after three years) and simultaneously is pursuing a Master's degree in International Affairs, specializing in West Africa. Another Peace Corpsman heard from - Kevin Lowther now down in Hampton, Va., training new Corpsmen after his two years in Sierra Leone. And - DaveDawley finished up his duty with the Peace Corps in Honduras and decided to see the country before returning to the United States. Pete Suttmeier and wife Merle are still at Indiana University where Pete's doing graduate work in Philosophy of Science.

Plenty of summer weddings which can only be briefly noted here: Joanne Drexler to Jim Cohen who is studying at NYU Law School; Virginia Emond to Bob Davis in Massachusetts where Bob works with a realty firm; Cary Carden to Jack Huber (Jack's at Duke Law School); Nancy Hunter to Ted Rossi in Knoxville, Tenn. (Ted is working toward a doctorate at the University of North Carolina); Marion Scanlon and Rick Braddoek in August in Connecticut (Rick received his degree from Harvard B School last June); Lynne Westerberg and Jeff Lehman in Asbury Park, N. J. - Jeff works with an advertising agency in New York; Judith Anne Agerton and Dick Petersen also in New Jersey in August (Dick is at Harvard School of Business Administration); Miriam Katz and Jeff Galper were wed in September in New York where both do social work, I believe; Carolyn Jane Kahn and Jim Bieneman were wed in Niles, Mich., last July; Beverlyann Boudreau and Tom McInerny during late August in Vermont— Tom's moving on toward his M.D. from Harvard; further news on Chris Harvey's marriage to Carol Jones in Bryn Mawr, just outside of Philadelphia in AugustChris is studying medicine at Temple Med School where I hope my wife is passing him answers to exams. I apologize for the abrupt handling of the above marriage news but I had to fit it into this month's column or face the consequences.

I hear that Bob Tucker liked New College, Oxford so much during his Reynolds Scholarship year that he won a Marshall for a couple more years study in those hallowed halls. I watched the Cornell game with many '63's including Roger Adelman, John Rowland (both Penn Law colleagues and doing fine), Mike Leone - at Jeff Med; Ted Graves who is in Philadelphia in charge of sales of Goodyear's printers' supplies in the area and many others at Dick Beattie's ('62) house here in town. Dick and TomRalph, along with a host of '64's and '65's are in their first year at Penn Law.

Bill Adelaar is keeping up with his judo at Tuck School after a summer at the Kodokan Judo Institute in Tokyo where he won his first grade black belt.

That wraps it up for this month - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as another 12 months slip by. Keep writing, I'll have to start the new year off with fresh news - so I need your letters.
