It is the eve of the Penn game and after embarrassing nationally-ranked Boston College in a pre-season scrimmage our green team has romped over New Hampshire and handily defeated the unfortunate Holy Cross team. What the outcome will be tomorrow is anyone's guess; however, I have hocked my Aunt Matilda's uppers in order to transact a sporting wager in favor of the Indians. While Matilda quietly gums about the house glaring at me, I eagerly await the results of tomorrow's game.
Somehow I can't help feeling that Blackman has some interesting Saturday afternoons ahead of him and pleasant surprises for the green supporters. That last sentence sounds like an excerpt from Plympton's "Paper Lion."
Please don't forget to read the bulletins concerned with the pre- and post-game festivities planned for all upcoming games . . . particularly the Harvard and Yale blasts. With a little bit of luck Mary and I intend to be at the games in Cambridge, and New Haven — hope to see you all!!
News is in the offering so let's get with it. Not so "silent" Sam Wallis has been unanimously elected a member of the Administrative Management Society by the Board of Directors of the Boston Chapter. Sam is department head, Office Services, Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham, Mass. He is also Junior Achievement Advisor, Framingham, Mass., Sudbury Companies of Minute and Militia, Sudbury, Mass. Sam and his lovely family reside at 202 Willis Road in Sudbury. Tell me, Sam, who's the real boss at 202 Willis Road?

Always on the alert, U. S. Air Force Major Drew Sleeper has been decorated with his sixth and seventh awards of the Air Medal for Air Action in Southeast Asia. Major Sleeper was cited for his outstanding airmanship and courage on successful and important missions completed under extremely hazardous conditions. Drew was presented the medal during ceremonies at Westover Air Force Base, Mass., where he is now serving as a program officer in a unit of the Strategic Air Command. The woman behind the man is charming Evelyn, formerly from Chesboro, Canada. Our hats are off to a fine guy who has really shown true green colors.
And from Down East we hear that "genial" George Scully has become treasurer of Casco Bank and Trust Company, Portland, Me. George joined the fine bank in 1956 as a management trainee and since that time has worked himself up through the ranks, becoming a vice president in 1958. He currently is chairman of the Building Committee for the bank's new main office now going up on Monument Square in Portland. George is a graduate of Amos Tuck School and a "heads up" disciple of Eddie Jeremiah's philosophy. ... Fine job, George.
