One of our prominent classmates, JohnVan De Kamp, recently ran for Congress in the 27th District in Los Angeles. Although he was beaten by Barry Goldwater Jr., we will undoubtedly hear more about John and politics in the future. A graduate of Stanford Law School, John has served in the Justice Department as a government trial attorney and later as U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles. John now lives in Pasadena. Clifford "Bud" Allen Jr. is an agent for Connecticut General Life in Philadelphia. He advises me that he and his family are going to Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Island, N. J., from June 28 to July 17. The welcome mat is open as well as a touch of gin. Bill Carleton, an Associate Professor at Tuck School, is the Treasurer for the Hanover Consumer's Co-Op. His current worry is what will happen to our colleges and universities if young totalitarians of the left provoke stupidities on the part of their elder counterparts of the right.

Louis Pfeifle has been elected to the board of trustees of the Union Savings Bank of Long Island in Patchogue. He is vice president of Rollic, Inc., manufacturers of children's play clothes. Very active in community affairs, he is president of the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. He is also a life member of the North Patchogue Fire Department, a director of the Brookhaven YMCA, and a member of the Patchogue Rotary Club. He and Joanna and their three children live in Blue Point. N. Y.

Prentiss Carnell III, is Dean of Albany Business College. The whole family skis every weekend at Stanford, N. Y. RichardFoster is a partner in the Lansing, Mich., law firm of Foster, Campbell, Lindemer, & McGurrin. Rich is a board member of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce as well as being active in the local Rotary group and Community Chest Drive. He and his wife have a daughter Martha (7) and a son, Rob (3). Dr. William J. Frable is Associate Professor of Surgical Pathology at the Medical College of Virginia. Al Friedman is an ophthalmologist practicing in Manhattan and teaching at NYU Med School. Al has two children and reports the bachelor TomKuhns continues the carefree life as New York City's answer to Hugh Hefner. DonGray is national sales manager for Canaan Products, Inc. The next time you use a Wash 'N Dri on a picnic you'll know that Don will prosper a bit because of your actions. Don recently became a father — Peter Clausen Gray born March 8, 1969. Congratulations. Toby Julian has recently moved to Belle Meade, N. J., where he works for IBM. Although he now lives only five miles from the Princeton campus, he still writes letters in Big Green ink.

Porter S. Kier, a group supervisor for Vitro Labs, seems to be an ardent sailor as is his wife Ann. The Kiers have twin daughters, Susan and Lynn. Frank Leavitt has a dual career. He is an earth-space science teacher at Avon Old Farms School and is a geologist for the Talcott Mountain Science Center. Bob Long is a physicist at the Sandia Corp. in Albuquerque. Their third child, Nancy, was born January 31, 1969, and joins Jeffrey (4) and Margaret (14 months). He enjoys the skiing availability which is only forty minutes away. Ron Muller is manager of the Beish Program for the Far East and lives on Okinawa. He's the Rear Commodore of the Okinawa Yacht Club. Cliff Phalen is plant manager for the Telephone Company of Vermont and lives in Burlington. Cliff and his family are ardent skiers and manage to do so every weekend.

H. Flint Ranney is a registered representative with Reynolds & Co. in Los Angeles. He is the secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Southern California and reports DickTerzian was busy promoting Alonzo Bell for Mayor of Los Angeles. Neil Raskin is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco. Neil reports that BillEhrenfeld is also teaching at the same school in the Surgery Department. Neil is doing research in the biochemical effects of alcohol in the nervous system.

Tom Davis is now the Reverend Doctor, having received his Ph.D. from Duke University. He is currently serving as chaplain and assistant professor of religion at Skidmore College, where he has been since 1966. Previously he was chaplain at the University of North Carolina, 1960-63, and assistant chaplain of the United Student Fellowship at Ohio State University, 1958-59. He holds a B.D. degree from Union Theological Seminary. His wife Betsy was ordained to the Congregational ministry last year.

Peter Rosazza is a Catholic priest in the Department of Modern Languages at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, Conn. BudRosenthal, marketing manager for IBM in New York City, reports skiing on a few occasions with Jack Billhardt and his two sons. Bud and his wife have a boy (2½) and a girl (5½). Bud feels Dartmouth doesn't need girls and is against their admission as regular students. Marc Rubenstein is staff psychiatrist at the National Institute of Mental Health in Chevy Chase, Md.

Charles H. Stratton has been named Director of Sales-Hawaii for Braniff International Airways. Prior to this he was district director for Braniff in San Francisco. Charlie and his wife, Gilda Lage from Rio de Janeiro, have two sons, Neil (7) and Brian (5). As a result of this, Charlie can expect many phone calls from ex-classmates returning home after an expensive vacation in Hawaii.

Howard Wisotzkey is an Army doctor until August. After that time he will be living in Winston-Salem, N. C., where he will be an assistant professor of Pathology (Neuropathology) at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Howie and his wife have three children: Laura (10), Elizabeth (7), and Lamuel (3).

Rich Worrell and some other ex-practicing lawyers have formed a consulting firm to deal with problems of employee benefits and executive deferred compensation. Rick recently spent three days visiting his wife who is in Mary Hitchcock as a result of a skiing mishap.

As of May 1, the Dartmouth Alumni Fund is running behind the quota set for it this year. If, when you read this you haven't already given and intended to, don't delay The school needs all the friends it can get these days.
