Robert D. Kilmarx has been appointed an executive vice president and has been elected to the board of directors of the Industrial National Bank of Rhode Island. Bob joined this Providence institution in 1965, following several years in Boston with the law firm of Sherburne, Powers and Needham. He will continue to head the Trust and Investment Division, and is assuming responsibility for the Advertising, Public Affairs, Master Charge, Bank Properties, Municipal Securities and Municipal Finance departments, and the bank investment portfolio. Bob also is vice president of Industrial Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of the Industrial National Bank. In civic affairs he is active as a director of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Providence District Nursing Association and Arts, R.I. Bob, Mary and their three children live in West Barrington at 56 Elm Lane.

That is the one and only current announcement for this issue. However, in rummaging through the files I found a couple more which arrived during last summer's vacation and were misfiled at that time; my apologies are extended for the reporting delay.

One involves Dr. Thomas B. Tomasi Jr., professor of medicine and director of the rheumatic disease study unit at the State University of New York, Buffalo, N.Y. Tom was presented the distinguished alumni award by the University of Vermont College of Medicine Alumni Association at ceremonies in May. He was cited as an "outstanding clinician and teacher," with major accomplishments in the field of immunology-Prior to going to Buffalo Tom was chairman of the department of experimental medicine at the University of Vermont, from 1960 to 1965. 7295 East Quaker Road, Orchard Park, N.Y. 14127 is the home address of Tom, Barbara and their three children.

Dick Ribble, vice president of the Home Savings and Loan Association and manager of its Hollywood, Calif., branch office, was named to the administrative post of business development manager. He and Nan live at 8148 Mannix Drive in Hollywood.

In perusing the Minute Messages forwarded to me by Joe Medlicott, some of the more interesting excerpts include one from Dr. John Talley that his new residence is an adobe house on the Pojoaque Indian Reservation. This location is about halfway between Santa Fe and Los Alamos; John's new medical office is 141 East Palace, Santa Fe, N.M. 87501. The Talleys, now a family of six, have a residential setting in two acres of apple trees and have a view of three mountain ranges; the aspens were in their golden splendor of fall at the time of John's communication.

An item from a bit further north in aspen country concerns Dick Catron, president of Saab Southwest, Inc., of Denver. He was pictured before the "Loose Caboose," a renovated version of the Rock Island caboose No. 17658 which will serve Dick's company as a private club.

Dave Grinnell of Plainfield, N.J., still is inventing and selling audio-visual materials to accompany textbooks, which range from kindergarten to adult education levels. He is associated with the Education Division of Milprint, Inc. (a subsidiary of Philip Morris), located in New York City.

Frank Barker, on Navy duty with Fleet Air Wing 6, FPO San Francisco, Calif. 96601, has been selected for his "forth stripe"; the new Navy captain expects to receive a stateside assignment in mid-1970. The Barkers presently are stationed in Japan; they have been able to visit Hong Kong and Japanese resort areas.

Another career officer who has seen something of the Orient is Major David Tillotson Jr., USAF, who has spent the past 2½ years in Taipei, Taiwan. Dave has received orders to Headquarters, 32nd Air Division, Gunter Air Force Base, Alabama 36114; he, Delight and their three children are looking forward to this assignment in Dixie.

Scott Olin has "volunteered" to help Dick Dale register us in at the 20th Reunion in June. (By the way, have you returned the postcard concerning your reunion intentions to Dick?)

George Harris reports that he and Maureen will be the first to arrive and the last to leave the Twentieth. They plan to venture into the East from San Diego on a several-week trip. Another couple who have indicated they'll be there are Emil andCarol Hudak; possibly Emil will bring along a supply of Koolfoam bed pillows, inas-much as he is sales manager for them, plus a supply of red handkerchiefs.
