There follows herewith the annual report of the informal fall reunion. This was one of the more successful affairs with 28 classmates (most with wives) in attendance. The list of those formally recognized is as follows: Bill Brayton, Andy and Clare Caffrey, Kirk and Barbara Denier, Charlie and Ruth Donovan, Jim and Rita Doucette, Bob and Joan Ehinger, Tony and Kit Farrell, John and Frances Goode, Bob and Susie Gray, Tuss and Carol Hand, Frank and Margot Hartmann, John and Ann Keefe, Bob and Olga Kerwin, John and Stacey Koslowski, Bud and Gloria Lasser, Church and Dorothy Leonard, Eddie and Dottie Lider, Bill Maeck, Jack and Lil Meleney, Eddie and Lorraine O'Brien, John and Phyllis O'Connor, Cal and June Osberg, Mort and Alese Pechter, Jack and Shirley Pfeiffer, Don and Connie Reich, Bud and Phyllis Silverstein, Warren and Marjorie Taylor, Paul and Ruth Young.

In addition, it has been reported that Glen Behringrer, Bob Mustard and Stan Bolster were "sighted" at the game. We were also fortunate in having Carol Pinto at the dinner and dancing on Saturday evening, along with her son Donald and one of Don's friends. In fact, there were about a dozen offspring including three Hartmanns, three Grays, two Osbergs and one each of Donovan, Lasser and Pfieffer.

The activities got under way on Friday evening with cocktails and dinner in the Tap Room of the Inn. Compared to the following evening, this was a rather well-behaved affair, witness the fact that some 18 classmates were able to find 104 Reed Hall somewhere around 10 o'clock on Saturday morning for the class executive committee meeting.

Consistent with usual promptness, the meeting started 18 minutes late at 10:18 a.m. with a report from Eddie O'Brien as to the success of the 30th Reunion. While not quite a breakeven affair, it appears the necessary funds can be made available to cover expenses.

The meeting next turned to the question of when next fall's reunion would be scheduled so that plans might be made in advance. It was determined that the fall reunion would be the weekend of October 13 for the Penn Game. This should allow us uncrowded conditions for housing and the absolute peak of the fall foliage. PaulYoung has already reserved 15 rooms at the Inn in his name for this purpose and you advance planners should get in touch with Paul to block the space.

The final major point of discussion was a possible class project of an on-going type to memorialize those of our Class who have passed away other than the '42 to '45 war dead. See Herb Marx' Clanging Bells for details of items discussed. Frank Hartmann appointed a committee to report back to the Class under the chairmanship of Jack Meleney, with Paul Young and Bob Kerwin members. The meeting there- upon adjourned at 11 a.m. for the usual class picture at the '43 Memorial and an observance of the scalping of Brown at the stadium during the afternoon.

The evening events continued with a cocktail party, dinner and dancing at the Drake Room of the Hopkins Center. Things became somewhat raucous before the combo part of Charlie Breed's dance group arrived, and a song fest was conducted by Messrs. Hartmann, Kerwin and Gray with Carol Hand filling in at tenor. Once the dancing started some unidentified soul kept asking for Deep Purple while Johnand Stacey Koslowski appeared to be dancing the polka about every five minutes. It is reported that at one stage Stacey was overheard to urge John to waltz a little faster since the band was really playing a rumba.

There is no credible report as to when things closed on Saturday night, but it is reliably reported someone stepped on JugO'Connor's knuckles as he was making the last turn going down the corridor to his room.

So much for the fall reunion, see you next month for more general class news now that some of it is starting to trickle in to your re-tread secretary.

1943'S large attendance for the Brown Game Weekend mini-reunion was rounded up,almost, for the traditional group picture in the traditional posing place.
