'Twas an active, enjoyable Fall Football Weekend for '45 families—and their dogs, too. The remark was made by one classmate that '45 was going to the dogs as some five canines joined the group this year. Friday, October 20 saw the clan gathering at Shady Lawn Motel to enjoy two days of class and college activities. The class officers worked their way thru an arduous meeting Saturday morning and met the wives and the rest of the group at the Jordans' for a most enjoyable pre-game buffet—again our deepest thanks to Betty and Cliff for their hospitality.
The Brown game was no thriller but it added to the feeling of togetherness as the leather-lunged rooters vied with Harry Hampton's horn, and the Cincinnati Reds rooters were the most vociferous of all as the Oakland A's were defeated in the Series—if only it had gone that way thruout the entire seven games.
Saturday evening was spent at the DOC house for cocktails, dinner and a brief business meeting. Bob Hage, director of the financial aid for the College, spoke on how much help the '45 Book Fund was to deserving students and how much more could be done along such lines.

Dinny Waterman passes on news regarding son Dana, a lawyer in Davenport, Iowa, and daughters Sibyl, assistant director of admissions at Skidmore, Sally a Smith freshman, and Glenna in junior high school. Dinny is all too reticent about his own activities but we assume he is still in law practice in Davenport and that son Dana is in the same firm.
From McLean, Va., Gran Beals lets us know that he is a vice president in the management consultant firm of Harbridge House, Inc.
The consul for the Republic of Haute Volta (West Africa) in New Orleans is none other than John Ormand who also functions as president of the Dartmouth club of Louisiana, a practicing attorney in labor law, and the host of a weekly TV show—the local Johnny Carson!?!
