As the '72-73 Alumni Mag news season nears its close, I am happy to report that the class news bag is brimming with tidings of prodigal '64s. Spies report that Whit Foster will be returning home in August from Morocco after 4½ years with the Peace Corps. Winsome wife Bev and toddlers, Chris and Sasha Foster, now accompany Whit wherever he goes.

Hal Weiler visited Miami recently in search of his old roomate Pete Luitweiler who has been transferred to Gulf Oil's Pittsburgh office. Hal is a flight surgeon aboard the carrier Roosevelt, and will begin a residence in ophthalmology in Washington D.C. in July.

Jim Harris reports that he has been working as an attorney for the metropolitan government of Nashville and for Davidson County, Tenn. Jim is really enjoying his work, and has fond memories of the Vanderbilt Law School where, for the past few years, he taught some courses and served as assistant dean until the lure of the courtroom sirens melted the beeswax.

Kerry Nevins writes that he is currently finishing his training in orthopedic surgery at the University Hopsitals in Cleveland. Sadly, Kerry and his charming wife Margo and their daughter and son are scheduled to spend our 10th Reunion in the Philippines, since Kerry has pulled Air Force duty at Clark Air Force Base. '64s are encouraged to write their congressmen to urge that Kerry be flown into Hanover for emergency standby duty during reunion week.

Steve Bachman writes that he is the controller with a Baltimore branch of Container Corp., and is regularly playing hockey with the local National Brewing Company team. Steve's lovely wife Carol is expecting Number 3 in October, and they're hoping for their first boy.

Lew and Judy Eisenberg are about to become parents for the third time as this column goes to press. After two fantastic daughters, Lew joins the Bachmans in hoping for a son, but rumor has it that he will be delighted with another daughter.

Randy Stayin writes that he has abandoned his Cincinnati law practice to become Senator Robert Taft Jr.'s executive assistant and director of legislation. I plan to descend upon theStayins in early October for a cup of cheer and an introduction to his wife and three children. Randy urges all Washington area classmates to give him a call at his office or at his home in McLean, Va.

Edie Miller, Ned Miller's pert wife, informs me that Ned is the proud father of a son, and has joined the National Division of Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. The Millers are looking forward to our Class Reunion in 1975.

Doug Judah, vice president of the Chase Manhattan Bank, married Joanne Pederson DuBois on March 24 in New York, thus becoming another in the long line of Bachelor Central stalwarts to bite the marble altar dust. Doug's lovely wife, a Smith graduate, teaches at the Dalton School in New York.

Bob Jacoby has recently been named principal of the management consulting firm of Albert Ramond and Associates.

Herb and Judi McCord will be moving into a new home in the Windsor, Ontario, area in June. Herb is reportedly enjoying his new duties as vice president and general manager of CKLW radio.

This month's S.M.O.G. '64 Eligible Bachelor report focuses upon Geof ("The Greek") Broil, assistant manager of Aetna Insurance's Group Computer division in Hartford, Conn. Those matchmakers among the readership of this column who are interested in introducing Geof to a prospective bride would do well to note that his interests lie in philosophy, NBA Basketball, the Stock Market, and huge quantities of well-cooked food. Although it is not common knowledge, his achilles heel is a Swiss cheese sandwich on white, (with heavy Miracle Whip), and a side order of home fries a la Polka Dot Diner.

That's about it for now. Please keep the news rolling in. Mary Alice and I hope you all enjoy a relaxed and pleasant summer. When you're in Miami, give us a call.

Later.
