'64 Class News is still scarcer than a clear beer cup at a Phi Gam party. Please take a moment to drop me a line with news about yoursel or other '64s. News from wives, sweethearts parents or secretaries of '64 will be welcome too.

I am grateful to Staff Keegin for his great letter bringing us up to date on his activities. on September 1, Staff willingly and joyously deserted the ranks of '64 Bachelor Central to wed the former Susan Landor of San Francisco, He writes that "besides being an extraordinary sailor, backpacker, cross-country skiier, professional graphics designer, a photographer of some prominence. Susan is a lovely and charming woman. Needless to say, Iconsider myself to be among the luckier men

More good news from Staff. On January 1, he will become a partner in Cotton, Seligman & Ray, a 2 25-man general corporate practice law firm in San Francisco. Staff specializes in cordate finance and securities.

jav Meltzer, who went on frorji the College to duate from Harvard Law, has been elected general counsel and secretary of Damon Corporation and will be based at company headquarters in Needham, Mass. Phi Beta Kappa at Dartmouth, Jay joined Damon in 1972, most recently serving as corporate counsel. He was formerly with Shearman & Sterling in New York. I am happy to report that Larry Berg, after nine years of silence, has written to confirm that he is alive and well and living in Troy, Mich. Larry attended the University of Michigan Law School after graduation, and then did a stint in his family's business. He graduated in 1970 from Chicago-Kent Law School, and is now practicing law with the firm of Friedman, Meyers, & Keys in Detroit.

Larry married the former Susan Levitt in 1970; he and his charming wife are the proud parents of a lovely daughter, Allison Jenny, norn last June. The Bergs convey their best regards to the Class, and would be delighted to hear from any classmates who chance to venture through the Detroit area.

This month's '64 Career Spotlight shines adoringly upon Fred M. Levin, Chief Resident in Psychiatry at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. Fred plans to enter private practice in The Windy City next year, and will continue his studies in psychoanalysis.

Upon completion of his psychoanalytic trailing, Fred will have spent an incredible 14 years in postgraduate study, (possibly a '64 record.) He invites any classmate seeking cranial shrinkage to look him up in Chicago.

That's about it for the News Bag, except for one item which just arrived. It reads as follows:

Refined, handsome bachelor, 31, seekscompanionship of bright, attractiveyoung lady of like age who loves to cookand would make some lucky Dartmouth64 a good wife. Inquiries should bedirected to G.B., 7 Marshall Street,Hartford, Conn.

'Rumors that the above ad was placed by Goef Brad's mother, who thinks it's time that settles down and finds himself a nice girl, are greatly exaggerated. It is true, however, that he isn't getting any younger.)

Please write. Later.
