This month's major news is that Bill Seidman is now here in Washington as assistant for administrative matters to Vice President of the United States Gerald Ford. Bill has taken a leave of absence as national managing partner of the accounting firm of Seidman and Seidman, and only recently completed his sixth (and maximum) year as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago - Detroit branch. As of the moment, Bill commutes back to Grand Rapids on weekends, but he and Sally are looking for quarters here in Washington. Bill reports having seen George and Ellie Munroe recently.

Another major change is that Bus Mosbacher has resigned his position as the first chairman of New York State's Racing and Wagering Board.

Other changes - at least of addresses - include: Gordon D. Bingham, 867 Tamarack Drive, San Rafael, Calif. 94903; James P.Evans, R.R. 2, Box 5, Wayne, Neb. 68787; Harold S. Fuller Jr., 13 Oxford Towne Court, New Hartford, N.Y. 13413; Mr. Cornelius M.Judd Jr., 2622 Spring Grove Terrace, Colorado Springs, Colo 80906; Anthony G. Rud, Route 49, View Drive, Pittsfield, Mass. 01201.

A postcard to your secretary or to Herb Marx will ensure full reporting of the changes.

On the red-faced side, we belatedly report a successful hunting trip engaged in by SmedWard, Phil Bowie and Charlie Webb last October. We apologize for having lost the letter (with picture enclosed).

Last month we reported Don Crance's new position as regional training manager for the Rocky Mountain Region of Lederle Laboratories. This month we can add that Don is a five-time recipient of Lederle's Gold Cup, the company's recognition award for outstanding achievement in sales.

As a final note, Warren Preece of Glencoe, Ill., has had the responsibility for the 43-million word Britannica 3, the new Encyclopaedia Britannica. After Dartmouth, the field artillery, and a Masters from Columbia University, Warren taught English at the University of Chicago and then returned to his home town of Norwalk, Conn., where he did newspaper work and helped with political campaigns. In 1957 Warren joined the Encyclopaedia Britannica as executive secretary to the Board of Editors and in 1964, became editor. Warren and his Deborah have three children - daughter Thayer, a freshman at Middlebury College; son Mark, presently at Dartmouth; and son Scott with a Masters degree from the University of Chicago.

And that's the way it is ...
