Most of the news this month is somewhat dated (came in with class dues), but nevertheless, voluminous. Congratulations to Dr. Joe Colgan, recognized for "outstanding achievement in internal medicine" at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Fred Martin was promoted to Trust Investment Officer at Northwestern National Bank, Minneapolis. Sandy McGregor was most recently in Omaha, refueling the local nuclear power plant for his employer, Combustion Engineering, Inc. and enjoying the cross country skiing with wife Jane. Dr. Peter Stevens, a resident in Orthopedic Surgery at the U. of Utah, reports that Fred Palmer is involved in a fellowship in Child Psychology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Rodney Hawkins was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in '73 and is practicing in beautiful Vancouver. Duke andStefanie Ellis are pursuing doctorates in Clinical Psychology at Temple University in Philly. Humble apologies to Tom Ulen who is finishing/finished a Ph.D. in Economics, not History as previously reported. Captain HaleIrwin was most recently with Marine Experimental Helicopter Squadron I in Quantico, Va. He, wife Sharon and stepson Jeff plan to settle in N.H. when Hale leaves the Corps. Dr.Bruce Ehrenberg is living in Folsom, Pa., after two years of service with NIH, and is now a resident in neurology at University of Pennsylvania. Bruce hastened to add that "Folsom" is not named for the prison . . . Folsom Prison is in California! Many thanks to Gary Blaich for news of many people. Gary has been through medical school and involved in a psychiatry residency in Seattle. His wife, "Bailey-san," Beryl Bailey, Vassar, '68, is a professional dancer, with a modern dance company. Gary reports that Tom McCormack was fixing up a Wisconsin farm while attending U. Wisconsin-Milwaukee to obtain credentials to do what he has already enjoyed doing for two years in Arizona . . . counseling delinquent children. Dave Sigelman and wife Pat are in Cali, Colombia, where Dave teaches and works in public health as well as providing pediatric care, while Pat is teaching. Jim Naughton is chief resident in medicine at U. California-San Francisco (Berk?), bolstered by his wife Candy, two-year-old Jenna, and "Mad Carlos". Denny McNeely is in Olympia, Wash., where with wife Judy and family, Denny busies himself with the affairs of the State Planning Office. Bill Harley should be back in Boston by now, in a radiology residency at MGH following two years in Anchorage, Alaska, with the Public Health Service. Normand Chris Davis, who sport three daughters, are in the Seattle area where Norm works for a lumber firm. As of last spring, Skip and LindaSmall were enjoying residence in Hanover while Skip was attending Dartmouth Medical School. Thanks again for all this from Gary Blaich, who by now is in Hawaii, (if plans worked out), involved in the state mental health system and "taking life as it comes" with Beryl and a dog Beryl found and named "Bella Abzug."

Crepps Wickliffe is living a simple, full life as a jack of all trades at the Whole Earth Coop in Madison, Wis. Crepps terms himself a political and cultural radical. Despite the fact that he works for subsistence only, he dug up his class dues, and expressed an interest in hearing from the widest range of people possible (via the column) . . . not just doctors, lawyers, and business professionals, but others, doing other things. Agreed, Crepps! All it takes is for someone to pick up a pen and paper and jot me the news. We have all gone in our own directions, but we have Dartmouth in common, and most assuredly not all are doctors, lawyers, and involved in what might be considered to be traditional occupations. The world needs variety and our Class is varied . . . write on!
