Bob Gamett has emigrated to England - at least temporarily. Bob was awarded a Fulbright-Hays (ahem!) fellowship earlier this year and found the prospect irresistible. Bob will work at Oxford as a member of Keble College. A scan of Bob's past seven years looks like this: four years in the Navy (receiving two citations while serving aboard the U.S.S. Parsons, a guided missile destroyer, and the U.S.S. Leader, a minesweeper, in Vietnam - the tour does not appear to have been mineblowing!) and a sojourn at the University of Virginia (where Bob is pursuing a doctoral degree in literature). Needless to say, the Fulbright is a real coup.... Or is that the Nixon?

If you need a loan, see Mac Perkins in West Hartford, Connecticut. Mac recently became an assistant veep at the Connecticut Bank and Trust Company. "What has Mr. Perkins been up to the past few annums?" Glad you asked. Mac spent some time with his Uncle, Sam (army-style), joined the bank's trust staff, and was appointed an assistant secretary and manager of the Trust Division's closely held business unit (1971). He later rose to treasurer of the bank's subsidiary, Criterion Capital Management. In '74 he joined the brokerage firm of Paine, Webber, Jackson and Curtis in Hartford as a registered representative. Mac evidently returned to the bank a year or so later to move into his current lofty position.

Wedding bells rang for Hobie Collins last summer. Hobie tied the knot around MaryRohner. Mary picked up her bachelor's degree from Central Washington State College and her master's (in hospital and health administration) from the University of lowa. Hobie, who received the same degree from lowa, is an administrative assistant at Keene (N.H.) Clinic. Dick Jordan was Hobie's best person.

Holy Cross College (Worcester, Mass.) announced in September that it has added ChetHalka to its prestigious faculty. Chet's title: instructor in Spanish. Professor Halka was a Rufus Choate Scholar at Ole Dart Coll, received the Herbert A. Kenyon Fellowship Award and earned an M. A. from Brown U in golden Spanish literature.

Good night, Chet.
