When I spent the Fourth of July weekend in Cleveland with Jim and Carol Robinson at the wedding of their son Frank, Jim reported having seen and heard Dick Bucey preach at the wedding of his own son, David, in June in Atlanta. Jim really woke up when Dick preached that "the Dartmouth-Princeton problem has now been resolved," referring to the bride's father, who just happened to be from the Princeton class of '5l.

Berl Bernhard has bought the new United States Football League's franchise in Washington, D.C. In a Washington Post article which I received from five different sources, the headlines reads: "Intuitive Lawyer Switches to Football." "What do you do after you've run a Presidential campaign?" Leon Billings, a colleague of Berl's from the political arena asked. "There's a lot of similarities between professional athletics and politics. At the end of every season, there's another one." President Dave McLaughlin '54 likens Berl's plunge into football to a dive into an empty pool. "Berl has the uncanny good luck to dive off a high board, and by the time he hits the bottom, it will be full of water. Berl is an incredibly intuitive man."
Former Senator Ed Muskie says, "Berl has a lot of adrenaline flowing all the time." Berl's friends say he loves country music and the underdog and never does anything halfway. Berl says his first love is sailing, but this is involved in something that gives pleasure and "I've never been involved in something like that." He also goes on to say that "lawyers are always picking up the pieces or carrying out the responsibilities for someone who has made prior decisions. I'd like to make some prior decisions." Good luck, Berl-we will all be watching.
