Lee Rosengard and his wife, Andrea, recently celebrated the birth of their third daughter, Laura Kramer Rosengard, on July 2, 1986. Lee's other two daughters, Rebecca and Joanna, are five and three respectively. Lee is a partner specializing in litigation at the law firm of Stradley, Ronan, Stevens, and Young in Philadelphia. Andrea remains corporate counsel to Acme Markets Inc., a grocery chain operating in the seven mid-Atlantic states. Lee explains that he keeps . . telling Andrea that I get one pick for Dartmouth, and she continues to insist that all wellbred young women attend Wellesley. I only have another ten or twelve years to convince her to the contrary, but I have a sense that I may be fighting a losing battle." Lee was also good enough to send news of Jack Terrill, who has a child coming in February, and Bruce Rosenfield, whose wife had a baby due as I write this column. Congratulations to you all.
Fred Haas has joined the faculty of the Department of Music at Dartmouth as a jazz piano instructor. This is not Fred's first venture with the faculty; several years ago he taught jazz piano and saxophone at Dartmouth. Fred was a music major who concentrated in jazz improvisation and electronic music composition and who lead the Barbary Coast Jazz Ensemble. Since then he has played piano and saxophone with several bands, including tours with the Ray Charles and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras. Fred currently lives in Enfield, N. H., where he teaches piano and saxophone privately and works for New England Digital as a product specialist for the Synclavier Digital Music System, which is in use in Dartmouth's Bregman Electronic Music Studio. Fred has also appeared with various bands in clubs in the Hanover area.
Congratulations are also due to BillMayer, who was recently made a partner with the prestigious Boston law firm of Goodwin, Proctor and Hoar.

A recent business journal cited RichFuscone as one of the rising stars with Merrill Lynch Money Markets. He joined that group in 1979 and since then, while rising to become the unit's executive vice president, has helped steer the firm into the top position. Merrill Lynch now has 51 billion dollars of notes outstanding, one-third of the commercial paper issued by United States dealers.
I would only close by saying that we had a very successful Alumni Council meeting in late November. Class representative George Kidder was in faithful attendance. Please check the "Report from the Council" in the Alumni Magazine as well as the class newsletter for more details.
That's it for this month. Please keep those cards and letters rolling in. In the meantime, don't forget the Alumni Fund, and I will be back next month with more news.
