Greetings from Atlanta! Since I keep asking for mail, some people finally contacted me! But I have to admit that both contacts were on official class business. Celia Chen is on the College committee to review the alma mater, "Men of Dartm outh." The committee is trying to dec ide whether to substitute a wimpy song like "Dartmouth Undying," change the words to omit the "men only" reference, or leave the song as it is. I think it is a great song just the way it is, but people who have comments should write Claudia at 18 Fordham Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.

Harriet Travilla Reynolds wrote me in her official capacity as publicity chairman for our tenth reunion. Harriet asks that you return your reunion response card as soon as possible. If you lost it, write David Corey, 127 4th Avenue, PHC, New York, NY 10003. Our reunion will be Frid ay, June 19 through Sunday, June 21, so make your plans.

Harriet wrote so she could avoid requests for news. Celia called me, so I demanded news. Celia is currently finishing a fellowship in marine affairs for the Merchant Marines. Then she plans to travel in China for a month. It is obvious that Celia has not had too many affairs with marines, because she is planning to marry John Lee later this year. John is currently teaching and working on sculpture at Dartmouth.

Celia gave me news of Rob Gifford, who is working for a real estate pension advisory company in Boston. Rob Portman is reportedly working for a law firm in Cincinnati. Terry Scriven is married and living in New York. Celia did not provide details about Terry's husband (perhaps a Marine?). Karen Fagerstrom has moved to London on assignment for White and Case law firm. Athena Moundalexis is doing her residency at Maine Medical (possible looking for Marines?). Our class has at least one real Marine, Burke Whitman, who is currently on maneuvers in Japan.

Celia did not have enough news to fill up this column, so I again resorted to calling y'all on the telephone. Lea Boiling was not home in Wayne, Pa. Beth Brady's answering machine said hello but had no news. Cushing Academy in Ashburn, Mass., could not be bothered to answer the phone for Will Browning. My mailing list indicates that Will is now married and teaches languages at Cushing.

Jim Bullion answered the phone in Minneapolis. Jim is a loan officer at First Bank-Minneapolis. He is enjoying Dartmouth Club activities and rearing his 17month-old son, Matthew. Jim is planning a ski trip to New Hampshire, where he'll join Joe Sullivan and Tex Larsen. Joe is a sales rep with his family's company, and Tex is setting up a neurology practice in Concord, N.H. Peter Halls is working as a lawyer in St. Paul and rearing his new daughter, Laura. Steve Hollands is working at an ad agency in Minneapolis. He has a two-year-old daughter, Johanna. Bill McLaughlin is marketing director for Pillsbury's new food service division. He needs to know about meal preparation, as he and his wife are expecting their second child. Fred Siekert has recently returned to the Twin Cities after escaping Indianapolis, where he was practicing law. Marty Grapes Benson is enjoying her work as a stockbroker and as the mother of two kids. "Froggy" Kramer has completed a Ph.D. in psychology at Penn State and has won a grant to do work on his specialty, eating disorders. I can imagine a conversation with a patient: "About your craving for frog legs ..."

Despite his best efforts, Jim did not have enough news to fill my column. Walter Callender's phone has been dis- connected. That means he quit the phone company or the phone company moved him again. Which is it, Walter? Sam Cof-fey was not home in San Francisco. Per- haps he was attending an HBO convention as the guest of Jeff Krolik. Careful readers will remember that Jeff is a hard-working guy who never lets any- thing stand in the way of HBO conven- tions. Richard Cray has an impressive mailing address at Universal Pictures. I was hoping to get interesting news, but no one answers the phone at Universal at night. Rumor has it that Richard is a corporate counsel for Universal. Sounds like fun.

Tom Delanty was home in Bellevue, Wash., a suburb of Seattle. Tom works as a small business consultant. He is married to Vida, a special education teacher. They are already making plans to come back for our tenth reunion.

Well, my phone bill can't stand any more hot news. Please write!
