You know you've got the most popular class when at your 15th Reunion the tent is full of all other "reunionees" until the wee hours of the morning. We had a great turnout and a great time. The weather turned cool and sunny just as things were getting started. I wish I were still in Hanover instead of in Atlanta amidst torrential downpours, on my way to Federal court to crossexamine a sleazy confidential informer.
The events of the reunion were fun, including a DOC trip to Mt. Moosilauke on Friday, dinner with everyone at the Thompson Arena, and music and frolic under our tent.
Because of the weather, Storrs Pond was rained out, but we had a family luncheon at the Thompson Arena on Saturday, and a great alumni dance at the Hopkins Center that evening. It was just like the old fraternity parties.
Then there was brunch at the Bema Sunday and farewell. At least now I have enough information on our classmates to fill several columns.
Classmates in attendance were from all points of the compass, including, for example, Dickie Ellsworth from Alaska and Rick Ranger from Bakersfield, Calif.
Jeff Corelitz talked of his sales experience in Annapolis, Md. That is his hobby in addition to sailing.
Chas Carner talked of his recent work on a book. He has been in Venice, Italy, for a month for background material.
Also in attendance were Steve Allison,Bobby Atwell, Chris Baldwin, Steve Bell,Peter Blodgett, Tony Caliendo, KennyCanfieid, Don Casey, Jim Craig, DavidCranshaw, Steve Dietz, Michael Draznik, Tom Eggleston, Herbie Hopkins,Candy Ingals, Doug Lind, RosalynLoomis, Chris Nicholson, Doug Peabody, Steve Severson, Doug Shufelt, and Jeff Stewart, among others.
New officers elected were Bill Crater, president; Tom Ludlow, treasurer; RickRanger, newsletter editor; Steve Severson, head agent; and me.
My goal this year will be to get you more names and more information. Everyone has promised to send me lots of good information, and I'll hold you to the promise.
