The tenth annual presentation luncheon to honor the most recent 1962 Faculty Fellowship recipient was held during Class Officers Weekend in May. This years 1962 Fellow is Michael Walters, a professor of chemistry who is spearheading the use of computers and software in teaching organic chemistry. Present at the luncheon were CaryClark, John Clark, Gene Gasbarro, RomKomarek, Josh Rich, Bill and Patti Sadd,Dan Tompkins, and Gordy and VirginiaWilliamson. Others who made the weekend were John Knight and Dick Hannah, who road-tripped with his-father, Paul '27. Gordy, by the way, was named Class Newsletter Editor of the Year by his peers, and deservedly so. Bill Sadd, who is president of die Class Treasurers Association, recently was on the receiving end of a double whammy: he was granted tenure at Assumption College (Worcester, Mass.), where he profs business and management courses, and he became a grandfather for the first time.

St. Johns Hospital and Health Center in Malibu, Calif., named Bill Frumovitz chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he will oversee a staff of 80 ob-gyn doctors. Dr. Billy is also a consultant for the Rand Corporation in areas of obstetrical care and is an assisting professor at UCLA. He and his wife, Adrienne, live in Malibu, while his office and medical practice are in Santa Monica.

Travel Agent magazine, a leading travel industry business publication, cited JimGodsman as its 1991 Cruise Industry Executive of the Year. Jim is president of Cruise Lines International, the marketing organization for the cruise industry in North America, with headquarters in New York. He joined the Association in 1985 after senior marketing positions with several air carriers. Between bon voyages, Jim and his wife, Betsy, make New Canaan, Conn., their home.

One final announcement: Bill Shanahan, chief operating officer of Colgate Palmolive Cos., was elected to the board ofMead Corporation, the forest products and electronic publishing company based in Dayton, Ohio. Bill joined Colgate in 1965 and has served as Brazilian general manager, VP of marketing, head of the Helena Rubenstein division, and senior VP of international operations. Shanahan, Godsman, and Frumovitz ought to get together and promote a package: a two-day cruise featuring a facial and a crash course on gynecologic laparotomy.
