Merry Christmas and Happy New Year wishes from Hanover during a beautiful foliage season. Up to now the football team has not had a good season, and the game with Holy Cross was a frustrating experience for those of us who watched it while in Hanover for the class mini-reunion. Unfortunately, the number of regulars for this event has dwindled, and many were missed at both Friday and Saturday events. Dinners both evenings were at Kendal, and Saturday’s pre-dinner featured the now-famous oysters on the half shell by Magenau and Orr. The dessert Saturday was a beauti- ful wedding cake, ordered by Charles Dud- ley for the Ripleys.
Those in attendance during the two days were: Dick and Katy Black, Bill Dodge, Charles and Frances Dudley, Frank and Petey Foster, Bill and Polly Magenau and daughter Carol, Art and Esther Nigh- swander, Dud and Gene Orr, George Red- ding, Hcrm and Margaret Richardson, and Rip and Mary Ripley.
John Comehlsen was unable to attend while spending time with Virginia in the Kendal infirmary.
After dinner Samrday an executive meet- ing was held, and plans for the 65th Reunion in ’94 were discussed. A resounding vote gave power to Charles Dudley to prepare for it.
A bit of nostalgia from Rip follows: Sing out a welcome if you will To neon-modern Ivy Grill. But first, old friends, come let us drop A paean to the Coffee Shop. The Coffee Shop where memory blends Good eating with the warmth of friends. Where ’cross the room we’d greet a face Familiar in a cherished place.
