Yes, the class has a treasurer—Stet Whitcher, who has served for 20 years, was elected to continue until the year 2000. At the class meeting Ann Berger reported writing to all widows at least twice a year.

Also, the College received annual gifts from 56 widows and Dot Arwe, Buzz Allen (Mrs. John), Kay Bridges (Sid Morley), Betty Hayden, Joan Martin, Betty Rectanus, and Ginna Risley (Diz de Sieyes) helped to make it a fabulous 55th Reunion.

The Bob Austin Fund total is $28,467. The first intern in the alumni newsletter office will be funded this fall.

Gordie Wentworth reviewed die bequests that he and Joan Martin had brought to the College. They rose from $103,000 in 1991 to $2,184,000 in 1995. Gordie has headed this important College activity for 25 years.

Ted Miller, class head agent for 18 years, made us all proud of the class of 1940 when he announced that the class had given $2 90,000 to the Alumni Fund. That is cash not pledges.

A highlight of each reunion is the Tuck luncheon. This year Bob Bunker, Dave Dance, Walt Goodrich, John Mauley, Ted Miller, Joe Olson, Nick Turkevich, Stet Whitcher, and Sam Williams attended. Several wives also enjoyed the luncheon.

A bus tour to the new Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center was on the programa new experience for many. Included in the new complex are the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, the Hitchcock Clinic, and part of the Dartmouth Medical School. During the tour we had to be reminded that we were in a medical facility and not a shopping mall. Do not miss the center when you are next in Hanover.

Tom and Gini Todd returned from a trip to Scandinavia in time for the reunion. Touring northern Norway, they stopped at a small inn. They were royally welcomed since the village had not had American guests for more than a year. One of the highlights of the visit was the singing of the reindeer lullaby which is used to calm a reindeer herd.

Bud Johnson arrived in Hanover with two ladies—fiancee Monica and elderly Jule, a most social and well-mannered beagle. Jule was seen wearing a new Dartmouth collar for the class picture.

I anticipate that you will be hearing from me for the next five years. Letters will be greatly appreciated.
