It's not too late to sign up for our annual mini-reunion. The dates are October 30th and 31st and November Ist. You've gotten all the details in John McClintock's newsletter. Try to make it. It'll be a fun time and we can enjoy the Big Green take on the Harvards in football. Hope to see you there. Not a lot of news to report. Tried to reach out for John Potter, Jim Heller, Bert Ibelle, Milt Cooper, and Ray Hellmann. No luck, but you're on notice I'll be tracking you down next month. I was successful in talking to Dr. Joe Kepes. He's at home in Cumberland Foreside, Maine. I know you knew that's right next to Portland. Joe goes to Sanibel, Fla., when it gets cold, and that's about now in Maine. He told me something I didn't know. His daughter is one of our Trustees at Dartmouth. How about that! Found Bob Hunt, still in Avon, Conn. He says he's half retired from his law practice in Hartford. Bob's got an 80-acre spread over in Andover, Conn., complete with his own lake. Said he tried stocking it with trout but local poachers "done him in." Bob is an avid fly fisherman and sings the praises of the fishing in the Salmon River in upper New York state. Another Connecticut guy, Nort Virgien, safely retired from his real-estate business for the past five years, spends part of the winters in Longboat Key, Fla., and visits with children in Arizona and California. The one in California (a son) is a director of Paramount Studios. According to Nort, he's won a couple of Oscars. Touched base with the Hon. Ronald "Shipwreck" Kelley. He's still chairperson of the board of selectmen in Manchester By-The-Sea, Mass. That "chairperson" is the equivalent of being mayor, so you should all be impressed. His term is up next May and "Ship" says he is confident he will retire—unless of course he's drafted again, by popular demand to ran again. He told me that he and wife Nicky are off to Ireland for a couple of weeks in mid-September. That ought to settle things down in Ireland. Wish I had more to report but that's it for now. Hope you all had a fine summer.
