In order to produce the panoply of photos in this issue, each class secretary was asked to submit a photo. The vast majority of photos in my house are post-children, however I enjoyed looking through earlier albums (and shoeboxes), where I found a few from those Hanover years. The Dartmouth era photos provoked a double reaction: on the one hand, it seemed like only yesterday that the captured moments took place, while I knew this could not be the case with all that has come to pass since June 1978.
Back to the present: Andy Peterson was featured in a Boston Globe article, "Key Players to Watch When Tax Talks Begin." Andy is a member of the N.H. House of Representatives who favors a one-percent tax on services to alleviate fiscal issues stemming from the N.H. Supreme Court's ruling on education spending. In the article Andy explains that, "I have had long-term concerns about [New Hampshire's] over-dependence on property taxes, and the general problems of tax fairness for economic growth and development."
Nancy Rowden Brock has been named CFO of Green Mountain Power Corp., where she was previously chief corporate strategic planning officer. Nancy serves on the board of directors of the Vermont Children's Aid Society and is a director and treasurer of the Associated Industries of Vermont. She is a lecturer at the University of. Vermont School of Business. BurkeWhitman has been appointed CFO of Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., Pacific Group. Previously Burke was president and CFO of Deerfield Healthcare Corp. PeterMaglathlin is the new president and chief operating officer of MBI Inc. parent company of the Danbury Mint, the Easton Press, and the Postal Commemorative Society. He is past president and a current board member of the Darien YMCA.
