The following quote is from Albert Einstein's The Human Side: "Do not grow old, no matter how long you live. Never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we are born."

We had news from Herb Bissell that on November 8 he and Marjorie Ward were married in Minneapolis. She came with him to Dartmouth for our 70 th reunion, and those of us who met Marge then think he is very fortunate, and we wish them much happiness. Recently we had dinner at Kendal with Fran and Charlie Dudley and Art Nighswander, all agreeing we are fortunate to be in relatively good health.

So far this has been a bitter cold winter with much wind-causing damage. There are dire predictions of a serious energy crisis, and we hope not too many suffer the consequences. Rip adds: "On power suppliers: We pay you not to use our stuff For now we just don't have enough, And heaven forbid we build a store That let us build a little more. Wed seem to be a bunch of fools To go by those old-fashioned rules!"
