Slow news month, sad to say. I hope that wherever you are, it's raining. In the Philly area, we've had a high-heat, lowprecipitation summer. Ugh! I wonder how many Wharton or Harvard business undergrads they're going to nail for falsifying financial records when they become CFO's?

Robert Whelan Jr. is now on the board of directors of Leerink & Swan. Currently the managing director of Valuation Perspectives Inc. (a consulting firm), he brings 25 years of investment banking experience with him.

Ellis and Toni Rowe's son, Marcus, graduated from Dartmouth College this past June. (Onward to post-collegiate debt!)

Rocky and Michelle Whitaker's daughter will start as an undergrad in Hanover this fall.
