A few scoops from Dana Vernon, who, after being grilled for news, admitted that she has just been promoted and is now an officer at Charles Schwab in San Francisco. Visiting Dana down the street from Robin Williams's house, I can report that her son Taggart, age 4, is an incredibly charming and handsome little blond boy and her daughter Hartley, age 2, is also a beautiful blonde. Anyway, she divulged that Martha Gerhan is moving to San Francisco from Boston this month after a worldwide tour for the past six or eight months. Those with access to her Web site could vicariously experience her trek through China and see the glowworms of New Zealand, among other exotic experiences. "Maren Christensen is back in San Diego, where her husband, Bill, relocated the brood, which includes son Brady, cat Baggy and Rhodesian Ridgeback Kimba. The guesthouse and pool are great motivators for visitors. So, we are planning a warm-weather getaway to help trash the place. Brady, age 2, is a big favorite with Hartley and Taggart because he can keep up with them in a rousing game of Whales Tails—a strategic move by their parents to get them all to drink their milk."

A recent news article lauds Dr. Michael Shivers for expanding the traditional use of radiology at Chambersburg Hospital in Pennsylvania, using imaging techniques to apply therapies that are less invasive than surgery.

Boulder, Colorado, is looking better and better now that Jean Gleason has plunged into the real estate world fulltime. Jean invests in and develops properties with potential and flips them with an amazing success record. To keep on the cutting edge of that particular market she has also become a certified realtor with Coldwell Bankers, at the Colorado Landmark in Niwot. If you are looking to buy, sell or invest in property development in Boulder, you can probably get Jean off the slopes to discuss her hands-on, visionary approach to real estate investment.

Enough about everyone else, now let's talk about me, me, me—and the additions to my family. Gabriel Francisco Alward was born on January 22, to the delight of sister Pepper (11) and brother Kysen (9). New husband Mitch Alward also practices law (me part-time and him all-the time) here in San Francisco with Bunting Drayton & Alward, specializing in commercial litigation, creditors' rights and real estate law. (One of the perks of writing the column is the opportunity for your own P.R.!)
