Greetings. I hope that many '84s have made it up to visit Hanover this fall to enjoy the beauty of the campus, see some sporting events and meet up with classmates. Over the summer there were numerous minireunions all over the United States and even some abroad. Some were very mini, mini-reunions. The Philadelphia reunion was me and my husband, John, and Steve Linn and his wife, Lindsley. We had a great dinner at Tangerine and filled each other in. Steve is the vice president for medical affairs at South Jersey Hospital. He has been working very hard this summer to help ensure that the opening of the newly built South Jersey Regional Medical Center went smoothly. The stress of this opening and move was only surpassed by the family move. Steve and Lindsley, their three children (Elizabeth, 10, Christopher, 8, and Margot, 2) and assorted pets moved to Mooresville, New Jersey, this summer.

In trying to coordinate the Philly mini-reunion I was in contact with a number of other classmates who, unfortunately, were unable to join us. Sharon Watson is now a tenured professor of international business and strategic management at the University of Delaware. She and her husband are kept busy between work and their two children, Craig (10) and Christina (2). Sharon promises that next time she will join us! Mia Leuhrmann is also in academia. She is a professor of physics at Temple University and the associate dean of science and technology. Her husband, Ben Cowen, works at Merck as a marketing promotions manager. Mia and Ben live in Penllyn with their two sons, Aron (10) and Natan (8). Brian Smart is also in the Philly area. He is in medical school at Drexel and was on call in his surgery rotation—wow!

And now away from the Philly crowd. Word has it that the president of Central Maine Community College has named three leaders of business and the community to serve as executives-in-residence for 2004. One of those three is classmate John Isaacson. John is a partner and serves as chief executive officer of Lee Auto Malls, the largest automobile retailer in Maine. He is also CEO of Maine Auto Credit, serves as board chair of Sisters of Charity Health System in Lewiston and is a member of the board of directors of Greater Atlantic Insurance Cos.

Jonna Kirschner has been named general counsel of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Jonna joined the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in August 2003 as senior attorney in the business incentives analysis group. She also serves as legal advisor to the Governors Oklahoma Business Round Table.

Well, that is all the news for now. Please write, call or e-mail.
