In bookstores soon will be George Anastasia's latest work, The Last Gangster, the story of the rise and fall of Philadelphia mob boss Joseph "Skinny Joe" Merlino. This is Georges fifth nonfiction book. George has been nominated twice for the Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on organized crime and casino gambling. George works for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

San Diego State University professor Chow Chee is officially the second most productive research contributor to 40 accounting journals during the past 35 years. In addition, he has written or co-written more than 60 articles in Chinese to enhance accounting education and research in greater China. His work has been described as seminal and influential.

My old computer went belly-up and took a lot of 1969 fodder with it. I did, however, manage to salvage a little. John Talmadge's daughter, Caitlin, married Steve Lehotsky '99 in a ceremony in the 1902 room of Baker Library. The reception was at the Hop. Chris Stillbach attended the wedding. Chris lives in a cabin in the woods not too far from Hanover. Tex went on at length about the changes (and lack of change) at the College but you can see all that for yourself at our 35th reunion, June 14-17, 2004.

Once again, I bring sad news. Pat Docherty and Robert Nichols have both recently passed away.

Please give some thought to attending our reunion or at the very least, send me some news regarding you and other classmates. Take care.
