Our 55th reunion in June, honchoed by Jack Harned, was a huge success. He and his committee did a superb job of planning the affair and nicely coping with "typical New England" weather. Here are some of my personal memories:

Jolly Jim McCrum, all the way from Australia, knowing almost every classmate; Dave Beeman jitterbuging as if he was still a teenager; quite a few cane-hobblers, like me, showing their age; others telling about their golf, tennis, hiking, etc. exploits; Ro Lindenthal, Jilly Harned, Terry Harms and Margie Nichols scurrying around, doing all kinds of things to make our reunion such a successful one; fellow Marine private Jim Birney reminding us that when John Dickey spoke to us at Convocation, it had been a long time since we'd been called "gentlemen"; seeing Gordie Hood so hale and hardy, as well as several others who have had health problems; noting that the Green and the adjoining campus looks about like it did 1946-1950—the Hanover Inn corner has got to be the busiest intersection in New Hampshire; music, music and music, especially Tom Ruggles and George Harris; Eric Miller, our new class president, chairing several meetings and speaking at the "Great Issues" symposium; Bob Mauk and Jilly and Jack Hamed, honored with the "Class Award" for their achievements and contributions to society, Dartmouth and the class. Why not join us at this Octobers mini-reunion in Hanover? I'm not sure of the date, but you'll have it in the Fifty newsletter or a special mailing.
