This month the mail brings a nice letter from Roy Jerman who is with the Edsel Division of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Mich., and is very much involved in the unique work of seeing a new com- pany get going. Roy and wife Do have three children and he reports seeing Tom Montgomery who recently arrived in Detroit to become a brewmaster with the Goebel Brewing Company. Roy says: "We're planning a pipeline system through the Mid-west." Good to hear from you Roy.
Don Gile was recently elected to the office of Assistant Treasurer of the Natick Trust Company in Natick, Mass. Don and wife have three little Giles and are living at 22 Marshall Road in Natick. Congrats Don!
Our own Steve Kaplan has achieved quite a name for himself in the television field. After WW II, Steve started in radio, with WTTM in Trenton and then joined "Ross Reports" as a feature writer and TV show reviewer. Since 1950 he has been with BBDO (Batten, Barton, Durstine and Osborn) where he is in charge of talent and is active in programming for television. He was agency supervisor on the recent "Pinocchio" spectacular for the Rexall Drug Company and did considerable work on several telethons for the Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation recently. Steve is still a bachelor and living in Manhattan and we can't understand how he remains so, with all of his obvious success. Who's Doing What and Where.... Ernie Vogt has been in the securities business since 1951 in Louisville with J. J. B. Hilliard & Son. Ernie and wife Marj have one son and Ernie is active in much club and civic work and in 1956-57 was president of the Louisville Bond Club. ... With the coming of winter and snow in New England, Male McLane has been very much involved with his endeavors in the newly-developed Wildcat Mountain Ski Area at Pinkham Notch, N. H. Located directly opposite the Southeastern slope of Mount Washington, the spot should boast skiing for at least seven months of the year as this particular area generally receives the first and last snows of the New England winter. Early success in the new development has certainly proven well for all of Male's efforts. Brookie Dodge '51, and more recently of the United States Olympic Ski team is also involved with Male in this project.... John D'Albora and wife of Warwick, R. I., spent some time at the Inn in Hanover recently.... DeWitt "Bud" Baker is Sales Manager for Simon & Schuster in NYC and living in Larchmont.... Dr. Chan Bowen is now set up in pediatrics practice in Grand Junction, Colo., and you can address him at 420 Cedar Ave., Grand Junction. Old Chan sure picks his spots for skiing - having been in Hanover for the last three years and now living in the Rockies in Colo. - lucky guy.
Morley Brickman is in Skokie, Ill., and Gene Fisher is living in La Grange, Ill., and working in Chicago Johnny Condit is also in "the Windy City" and in sales for Ditto, Inc. and living in Evanston. ... Lt. Bill Hann is still in the Navy and is aboard the USS Stickell out of San Francisco.... Ben Homan is an advertising account executive in "Chi" and living in Wilmette.... Bob Levinson is in the Big City and Fenton Ludtke is in Birmingham, Mich.... Dr. John Murray, the erstwhile "molar manipulator" has returned to school to specialize in pedodontia at the University of Michigan Dental School in Ann Arbor.... Another of our bachelors, Rick Shambroom is in advertising promotion with Redbook Magazine in New York City and says that he just hasn't found "the gal." . .. Dr. Dick Ward is a physician and living and practicing in Bethlehem, Pa. (the home of Lehigh who beat the Big Green a couple of years ago).... Tom Webb is in Canton, Ohio, and Newell Rogers is living in Cohasset, Mass.... Capt. Norm Potter is still in Uncle Sam's Army and is outside the country but we don't know exactly where. ... Bob Simmons is in the banking business with the California Bank in L. A. and living in Arcadia, Calif.. .. George Wilcox is in Wilton, Conn., and Dick Wagner is pushing those Fords at his agency in Simsbury, Conn.
