I know some of you living in the Midwest would be happy to trade places with me when I say that we are looking for some snow here so that we can enjoy the wonderful nearby skiing conditions we had last winter. I'm afraid my boys were spoiled by skiing almost every day last winter in the backyard. However, those of you who have already done your bit with that old snow shovel can be sure we will have our day.

Last November Bud Munson gave a talk before the Composite Co. 1-31 at the Natick Quartermaster R & E Command. Bud, a Captain in the Air Force Reserve, talked on the subject "Management Development-Problems and Practices." Bud is with the management consultants Harbridge House in Boston.

Recently I heard Warren Tharion had been promoted to the position of manager of accounting for the Fram Corp., large manufacturer of oil filters, located in East Providence, R. I. Warren has been with the company for almost eleven years. He and Rose live in Middleboro, Mass., and last I heard had three daughters, Karen, thirteen; Debbie, eleven; and Janet, seven.

Irv and Betty Tuttle are settled in Wellesley Hills after moving to Boston last spring. Irv is Director of Purchases for the Ludlow Corporation, Paper and Plastics Division, in Needham, Mass.

After several years in the financial department at the Fenestra Co. of Detroit, PeteOwen has become manager of the St. Louis office for the well-known accounting firm of Touche, Ross, Bailey and Smart. Pete is living in suburban Kirkwood. Lots of luck in the new job, Pete. Let me hear from you sometime.

My old pal Hugh Kerwin has left Dallas and moved to Bellevue, Wash. As I haven't heard whether Hugh is still a TV and radio station representative, how about a line about the new job, Hugh?

The Frank Stern family moved into another house in Providence recently. Frank is geography professor at the Rhode Island College of Education. When he lets me know about some of those interesting trips he and Lelle take in the summer, I will pass on the information to you.

Still moving West are Tom and Or Richardson with daughter Cynthia, now eleven. This time they moved from Scottsdale, Ariz., to Honolulu, Hawaii.

With the increase in business activity Bruce Crowell is keeping busy at the T. F. Crowell and Sons Co. of Brockton, Mass., general building contractors. Bruce and Betty Ann and their three daughters Judy, Cynthia and Carolyn live in West Bridgewater.

Also active in the Boston area we find Fred Maloney who is group manager for the Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada in the Boston office. The group business has had a tremendous increase in the last few years and I'm sure Sun is doing more than its share with Fred at the helm. Fred and Dot and the boys live in the lovely suburb of Westwood, Mass.

For many years the country squire of Rockville, Md., was Dean Rathbnn. I just received notice that the Rathbun family has moved to Washington, D. C. Dean is president of his own building and development company in Bethesda. He and Helen have three children.

Those good students arriving in Hanover from Grosse Pointe, Mich., can thank BobWelch, English teacher at the Grosse Pointe High School. With all the criticism of the teaching of English these days it's too bad Bob can't be more places than one. However, his schedule at school, and Susie and sons Bobbie and Dickie at home, keep him very much on the go.

Another of the large contingent of '48's in the Hartford area is Jack and NancyParker. Jack is an electrical engineer doing advanced design work with Bauer and Co. The Parkers have two children and live out in Andover, Conn.

If any of you have not returned the self-addressed postcard I sent you about a month ago, please do so right away. Should you have misplaced it, drop me a note anyway at the address at the head of this column informing me about your family (names, birth dates, etc.) and what you are doing with yourself these days. We want all the information on you before we see you in June at our FIFTEENTH.
