One quick reminder before the news. Think, before you act. However, act now by digging a bit deeper and thinking a bit longer about the '65 Alumni Fund Campaign. Old '57 has an excellent AF reputation to maintain.

According to my facts and statistics, our class has at least two members located in South Vietnam and Thailand. Sherm Mills - Captain, that is - was recently transferred to S. Vietnam where he is attached to an Army Corps of Engineers Advisory Team. Sherm's chief responsibility is to inspect various construction projects which are located in five separate areas. Because the access roads to these areas are controlled by the Viet Cong, Sherm is logging quite a few flying hours getting into the projects. During Sherm's stint in Vietnam, his wife and family are residing in Washington, Ill. In nearby Thailand, Dr. Paul Brenner is attached to the U.S. Army 31st Field Hospital. Paul is stationed in Korat, Thailand where he performs surgical duties at the hospital.

In the matrimony department, BillSpringer and Catherine loan Farmer were married in January in Seattle. Bill's new spouse is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing. Bill is stationed at the Naval Hospital at Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Wash. Eric Lee is in that "about-to-be" category since he became engaged to Sandra Perper of Washington, D. C. Eric's fiancee is a graduate of Montgomery Junior College and American University.

Stan Juthe is another member of the class who is associated with the ever-expanding data processing industry. Stan is with 1.8.M. in Boston where he is a sales representative with the Computer Division. Stan and his family (one child) reside in Lexington, Mass.

Bill King has become quite an activist in civic affairs in Westford, Mass. Recently, Bill was a candidate for the School Committee in the March town election. (I don't have the results.) Among other things, Bill has been active with Boy Scout work, Y.M.C.A. activities, and various other youth programs in Westford. Bill is associated with C. G. Sargents Sons Corp. in Graniteville, Mass. Nancy and Bill have a toddler count of two, namely Scott and Tammy.

Toddler: This seems to be the year for boys as far as '57 is concerned. Bud Wheeler and wife Ann contributed to the population explosion in March when their number three boy, Andrew Crawford, arrived in Wakefield, R. I. If you're interested, Bud, I'll exchange our girl formula for your boy formula.

Brevits: John Scely is associated with that vital institution - The Experiment in International Living - which is based in Brattleboro, Vt. Three thousand miles due west of Brattleboro in the "refinery" city of Richmond, Calif., Bryant Milliman has joined that city's planning staff where he functions as an architect. Dick Lindseth is an assistant resident in Orthopedic Surgery at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center. And speaking of M.D.'s, Jim McDowell is situated at Brookline, Mass., where he has established a medical practice. Eric Rippel is residing in New York where he has become established in the investment community. Dr. Paul Raslavicus is living in Burlington, Vt., where he is a practicing M.D.

By the time next month's ALUM MAG arrives, I can say at this time with great confidence that: 1) the Class of 1957 will be setting a new Alumni Fund dollar record. 2) Our individual AF participation index will be at an all-time high. 3) The class will be in the number one spot in our class category. To make this prognostication a reality, the support of every '57 is needed.
