The headliner this month is a real thriller. Here it is: Helen Wright Thomas became the bride of Harold B. Cogswell on January 5, 1971, at Arlington, Mass. Congratulations to the happy couple. Stacey and Bernice Irish report contented life in their hotel apartment. They have had several hospital trips, but "are as well as can be expected at our ages."
Web Evans report that he and Priscilla are happily situated in an apartment adjacent to their son, Bradley's, home. Web still spends two or three afternoons at his Lawn Bowling Club, weather permitting. Lucky, Web! You would not do much bowling in Montpelier, in winter.
Guy Blodgett reports the death of his wife after 60 years of marriage. He is thankful to enjoy the best of health and pursues his two year-round hobbies, wood- working and fishing. The latter gets him to Northern Canada and to Cape Cod every summer. Leon Woodward reports that his wife, Elizabeth, died June 19, 1968 in the Elliott Community Hospital in Keene, N.H., after a long illness. They had been married 61 years. Leon continues to live at the same address with his unmarried son, and does most of the housework. He cannot drive because he can no longer pass the eye test.
Art Wyman has been re-elected to a three-year term as director, First Savings and Loan Association of Boston. WinGriffin reports on the severity of the winter down Cape Cod way. A more severe jolt is the price of clams, now about one dollar each.
More on Jack Everett's trip to Ireland. From Dublin he visited the last resting places of Dean Swift and Stella, which brought back memories of briefs in Craven Lay cock's classes.
Change of address: Porter W. Lowe is now at Box 287, La Jolla, Calif. 92037, and living nearer to his children.
