It is our sad duty to announce the passing of Win Griffin, on January 28, 1975, only ten weeks after the passing of his wife Maude on November 3. A complete obituary will be found on another page, or a later edition.

And again, we are informed by the daughters of our late Stacey Irish, that Bernice (Mrs. Stacey) Irish passed away on February 15, 1975, after two days in the hospital, and just seven weeks after the death of Stacey. The sympathy of the Class goes out to daughters Ruth Irish McHugh and Edy Irish Durell.

Mrs. Paul E. Johnson, daughter of the late Dr. Burton Thorpe, reports the passing of her mother on December 2, 1974, after an illness of some years. A son Frederick C. Thorpe'31, survives as well as three granddaughters.

Thankful to all who have replied to our special appeal, we have a bag full of letters to copy, or to compact, and to spread over three issues of the Magazine, plus a number of the '08er. Keep your eyes open for all of them.

First, Barbara (Blanchard) Adams, daughter of our own late Gordon Blanchard speaks of her mother (Esther) having come through an attack of the flu. Esther's copy of the Magazine has been mailed to Barbara for the last several years. Esther does not read nor handle her own affairs, but Barbara enjoys the Magazine. She is employed at Yale in the History of Art Department, but she cheers for Dartmouth.

A letter from Mrs. Laura (Arthur M.) Wyman, reads "Arthur and I celebrated our 61st Wedding Anniversary on May 16, his 87th birthday. He was still in the hospital. When he died, on June 24, it was a terrible blow to all of us. Life must go on and as long as we remain well, we are thankful - I am off today with four of my sisters, for a month's visit with a fifth sister who lives in Florida, Laura Wyman."

Allan M. Perkins is on the go as president. His aim, "Naught Eight Forever." Ladies, please answer his latest letter. Allan "lives a routine life - walks the dog - reads the paper meets with family and friends - its a great life."

Walter Furman has taken a more optimistic poise regarding his injury, and expects to be in fair shape this spring. Oh, yes, Don't forget the Alumni Fund. Hinman is back.
