Dick Hewlett recently received the atomic energy commission's distinguished service award, the highest honor given AEC employees. Dick, an agency historian, was cited for "being able to bridge the gap between science and history with extraordinary success and is now a recognized authority in this new field of historical scholarship." His outstanding contributions to both the Kennedy and Johnson libraries were also noted.
