With our first class column of this year I have the feeling that we are barrelling down on our twentieth reunion in Hanover in June. What with the coincidence of Bicentennial activities throughout the country it probably means that travel plans and reservations should be begun early. My wife Lynne and our two girls and I are looking forward to Hanover, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia and we have found it necessary to reshuffle our itinerary to make certain hotel choices come out right. In the category of sharing an idea without making a final judgment, we are swapping houses with a family which lives in an apartment in New York City while we are "back East" as they say, and our friends will be enjoying Northern California operating out of our house just east of San Francisco. It appears to be a good arrangement, not only from the point of view of more desirable accommodations than hotels, but it includes the availability of a car, which takes another crack at the total expense of such transcontinental visits. Our Reunion will also mark the end of my stint as your class secretary and I know that the executive committee would welcome a show of interest should anyone want to take on this interesting and often rewarding job.

If you are interested in seeing what Norm andAnne olsen have been doing for the last 2½ years, you might take a look at Americana magazine of September 1975, which shows the restoration of their c. 1830 house in historic peninsular Charleston, S.C. Norm and Anne (Duke University) had lots of help, I am sure, from Jeff, Chris and Katie, who are 13, 11 and 7 respectively. Paul Keith was in Hanover in August, when his son Gary had an interview at the College. It was only the second time that Paul had been back. Paul and Anna (nee den Hartog, Colby '56), along with Gary, Dirk (15) and Linda (11) live in Columbus, Ohio, where Paul practises internal medicine. Gardening, biking, golfing, and, more recently, playing tennis, are the ways in which the Keiths spend their leisure.

Another one into the house scene is "Cal"Hinkle, who has built his own home in Hampton, N.H. Cal is stationed at Pease AFB and has just received the welcome news of his promotion to lieutenant colonel - "am a squadron commander and enjoying all the work, headaches, and rewards that go with this 'people' job." PeteConroy writes that Tex Fridlund has just moved to a neighboring town, so Avon, Conn., and environs should probably be added to Time magazine's list of possible earthquake zones. Frank Terhune is a sales representative for the Folding Carton Division of St. Regis Paper Co. Frank and Sarah (nee Rudy, class of '56 at Colby) live in Arlington, Texas, and the family includes Debbi (17) and Chris (14).

Special bulletin: Bob Dumont reveals an awesome growndswell of public clamor to take part in the 1956 20th Reunion June 18, 19, and 20, 1976. Details to follow concerning adults and the many children expected.

As a final note, I would share the sad news that Howie Wisotzkey died very quickly of cancer during August. His widow Carol wrote a note explaining that she and their children would very much like to have a copy of the Aegis '56. I can imagine that there are some among our Class who would be willing to give or sell a copy and, if we can turn one up, I can assure you that it will be very welcome at 804 Scott Ave., Glenshore, Pa. 15116. You will find the obituary notice elsewhere in this magazine.
