Don and Pat Crance are on the move again. Don has been transferred back to Atlanta and Pat will join him from Colorado in February. Watch these pages for their new address.
Prospective attendees at our 35th in June include Bill Maeck, Herb Marx, Bud Miskell,Tom McManus, and Tom Munn. Bus Mosbacher says, "will advise later" — which may come about because of a recent Alumni Album report on Bus which says, "He received an honorary M.A. in 1963 and an Alumni Award at his 40th reunion." We always knew Bus was a lot older than the rest of us!
Ben and Janet Edmonds have moved to their retirement (about ten years away) home in Westport, Mass. They raise corn instead of children and, as they say, "still dabble in Republican politics."
Fritz Geller says, "Still boy scouting — main- tains the youth in us. Big deal this fall was visit to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary near Kempton, Pa., to watch the broadwing hawk migration. Even if you don't know anything about birds, it's still a thrill to see 5,000-6,000 hawks in an hour and a half."
Other attendees in June will be Russ Sherburne, Ken Sorlien and Fred Stockwell. George Shimizu says he will try to make it and Paul Smith will be there if not in Europe on business.
After the fall reunion Dot Marx wrote, "I think the Class of '43 wives are the greatest — Dartmouth men are smart, they had the good sense to pick them." Ed Lider (better known as husband of Dottie Lider) considered the fall weekend "the best weekend of our 35-year history. We'll all meet here in New Hampshire in June and the Class of '43 will celebrate again. All grandparents welcome."
June acceptances under the "G's" include Howie Geer, Bill Glovsky, John Goode, George Graham, Bob Gray, Jim Gilfillan and Stuart Gibbs. Stu writes, "It's been a long time since I last saw my classmates. Looking forward to reunion."
Doc Fielding (our forthcoming master of ceremonies at the reunion dinner) writes that he and Susie have moved from their home in New- ton to an apartment in Brookline. That is the only thing I am sure of from his note because as a doctor, he writes like one. The rest of his note (in translation or reconstruction) reads: "both kids gone — Jed 23, photographer and teacher of same, graduated Rhode Island School of Design, living, working and teaching in Providence. Andrew 20, junior at Brown — writer, journalist and published fragments in Boston Globe, Village Voice, etc. Wife Suzanne — still singing, radio and TV commercials and still supporting your humble servant."
Under the "L's" Stan Lambert, Fred Lent, Church Leonard, Hal Lindley and Rip Lowman will be in Hanover in June.
If you want to see your name in print, either advise Don Reich that you will make the reunion or send news to yours truly. Better yet, do both!
