The message of the month comes from FredLent out in Chicago together with his host of assistant class agents who will be contacting you on behalf of the Alumni Fund. The Fund's goals are higher than ever - remember, inflation hits even the colleges. And while we are at it, those of you who may not have paid your class dues should send a $10 check to Paul Young, our class treasurer.
Bud Kast was elected treasurer of the board of directors of the National Association of Independent Schools at their annual meeting in March. Bud is the headmaster of Germantown Acadamy, Fort Washington, Pa.
And Alan Grant writes from P.O. Box 309 in Walnut Creek, Calif., that he has been out of touch since graduation but is looking forward to retirement in the Hanover area in 1978. Seems that more and more of our people recognize the attractions of New England. Ann Pritchard writes on behalf of John that their son Ted graduated from Trinity College in Hartford and is taking his M.B.A. at the University of Connecticut so as not to be separated from his lovely wife of two years and assistant marketing manager at Heublein, Inc. John and Ann have two daughters finishing up at Skidmore and two more still at home.
We have a new address for Chet Sloane at 2120 El Roble Lane, Beverly Hills Calif. 90210. Bob Field, still with Price Waterhouse in New York City, visited Dublin, Ireland, (not to be confused with Dublin, N.H.) last fall. That sure is the better part of Ireland to visit!
Cal and June Osberg are fully retired in Sandwich, N.H. (Box 52). They are particularly busy in local matters, miss the "regulars" from the informal fall reunions, arid look forward to hearing from any '43ers who may get to the Sandwich area.
As of the time you read this, it will be too late for news for the June column but don't hesitate to write over the summer. For starters, how about a postcard from where you are spending your summer vacation?
