Fellow classmates, 1973 —

Tidings are short this month. Where are all those shipwrecked notes? Either the seas are extremely calm, or the Captain's about to be mutinied on the bounty.

Tyson Gibbs and his wife Patikii (who comes from Houston, Tex.) were married about a year and a half ago. Tyson has finished his M.A. thesis for the University of Florida and is starting Ph.D. work. Besides studying medical anthropology, he is also research coordinator for the north central Florida Community Mental Health Center, and is affirmative action officer there; he has a fellowship from the National Fellowship Foundation of Atlanta. Patikii, who is a second-year student in occupational therapy at the university, is also working as a clerk. Combined, they both put in about 32-hour days.

Stu Pechter sends his holiday greetings and says that he is in his final six months of dentistry at Tufts, and waiting to hear from some general residencies and orthodontic programs -he has applied to.

Jim Fernandez reports that John Weatherley (who last year was studying in Paris) is now a graduate student in the Princeton department of anthropology, where he hopes to combine his interests in anthropology and psychology. John's made a couple of trips up to the Big Green this fall, and seems to be enjoying life very well.

Jamie Eldredge, who is in the U.S. Coast Guard, is living in Alexandria, Va., and taking night courses at George Washington University towards an M.B.A. with a tie-in to foreign affairs. He is now a full-fledged lieutenant.

Pete Smith's last class newsletter was certainly informative! He reminds me to remind you that he too awaits your whereabouts. Do keep us both abreast of your activities. . . .
