Joe Burnett and StetWhitcher were in Hanover for their annual enrollment in the Alumni College, the 13th time for Joe and the 2Bth 28th for Stet. While there, they took time out to visit our class president, Sam Williams, at his condo at Berrill Farms to discuss some class business—possibly farther arrangements for our 5 5 th Reunion next June? Other classmates seen in Hanover, though not attending the Alumni College, were John and Carla Manley, Bob andCrosbie MacMillen, Bob Graham, and JimScott's granddaughter Meredith Scott '97. Those at the Alumni College were GardnerAshley and his sister Eleanor, Walt and PatKelley, and Howie Zagor. Human perceptions of the cosmos were illuminated readings from Thales, Ptolemy, Aristotle, Confucius, Kepler, Galileo, Newton, Herschel, Hubble, Einstein, Heisenberg, Hawking, and others. (Secretary's note: I bet they still haven't got it right, in spite of Newton getting bopped by a falling apple and Einstein's E=mc2.) The grand finale was a picnic in the Bema in perfect summer weather. Thanks to Joe Burnett for his detailed report on another inspirational summer session.
